I would prefer to install an internal SSD with the music files on rather than connect an external one or purchase an USB CD Drive to rip files using the RS250 function.
Is this possible and if so can a normal Windows formatted drive with a folder and file structure be played by the RS250.
I think its depending on the used file system.
I dont know which file system the rose device will format an internal device
You could format the ssd in the rose device settings, remove the ssd again, plug it to a pc with s-ata adapter and check if you get access to the empty ssd, transfer the files, and put the ssd back into rose device and scan the ssd for database creation
Thanks, the files are already on the drive so would prefer not to move them, however, your response has given me an idea. I will purchase an adapter and use this to connect to the RS250 and see if it will play the files if not I will move the files on to my PC, format the drive in the RS250 reload the files.
Did this work Dave or did you have to format the drive in the Rose and move them over via network?
I haven’t got round to trying it yet. As soon as I do I will let you know.
Everything works fine in my rs 250.
250 SSD can be formatted from Rose display and use File Zilla to mange or edit using your computer. ( I use a Mac).
My SSD is Samsung Evo 4Gig drive.
Thanks for the information
