Everything got transferred in fine from PC location using SMB. Thank you for the great resource to achieve that. Question, is that then actually now located on my installed SSD or just a network connection to the PC?
Now in the Rose PC app and Android phone app, they DO show up in the Music/folders location (much like a windows explorer list, ugly lol). When I select the Albums tab, only recent albums played show up but nothing under Albums (as in the entire catalog) blank. I know based on my other issues, it’s more than likely me. Any suggestions to solve this for me. I’ve searched every avenue I could prior to creating a new topic.
Hello,
If what you did via SMB is ‘file transfer’ to your ROSE device, songs are located in your ROSE device.
You have to ‘scan’ the directory to see the songs from ‘album’.
-
ROSE device > MUSIC > Folder > Netwtork > Your Music Folder > Touch ‘add button’ on the right side of music folder
-
Rose device > Media Library > Touch the added music folder > Scan
Thank you for that clarification. It is much appreciated. After looking at your string of commands, I believe that is what I originally had done. And I did check again using your command lines. And it does show memory taken up in the SSD and it does show these transferred files were indeed on the SSD drive. Only the Windows Rose connect software does not show them in Albums. My Android phone shows them fine. On the Windows software, I did get them to show up at first, but after going to another section of the software and returning to Music>Albums, they were not showing there. Also, the resolution or UI display settings are incorrect as when the Album view opens, it enlarges and overlaps the menus on the left side of the Rose IU. This then becomes persistent and needs to be shut down and restarted to return to the normal, correct view and rendering.
Thank you for your support and willingness to correct the little details.
Hello,
Seems like you can see the albums from your android phone RoseConnect but not in Windows RoseConnect. I agree with you that the RoseConnect for PC(Windows/MAC) is unstable and has a lot of things to fix. I’ll request to invest more resources so that we can improve more quickly.
Thank you for your post.
