In the selection of Genres, what is the order?

In Early Access RoseConnect, the order of the selection of genres seems random. It isn’t alphabetical and I’m guessing that it isn’t at all by popularity of Rose Owners. I have a hard time believing that most HiFi Rose Owners would want Hip Hop/Rap as their first choice. Why not list them in order of what most HiFi Rose Owners would probably prefer given the ownership demographics or if not that then maybe alphabetical. A logical listing order would be helpful.
I’ve also written before concerning the eclectic seemingly random listing of genre categories.
Why not list the categories most listened to by HiFi Rose users in the order of popularity. Surely you have metrics of the genres of the music listened to by HiFi Rose Owners.

The best, it seems to me, would be an alphabetical order.

Some sort of order rather than random would be appreciated by all. The organization of screen elements makes me say “What were they thinking?”. OTOH, I’ve had plenty of criticism of my programming so as long as there’s an open mind for user input, I’m all good.

What I’ve used that really works well are:

  • Default alphabetically. Then permit user (via a customize command):

    • to disable/enable (ie, hide/unhide) specific genres

    • to change genre order to “most access” / “alphabetical”

    • to add/delete a virtual genre (ie, a user specific genre)
