Are you really connecting something to both RCA and XLR outputs?
Hi, Boris, no, only to RCA, but this combination worked, so I left it at that.
I’ll test tonight whether disabling XLR will retain the playback.

Hi, Boris, I was unable to disable the XLR output without disabling the RCA output; these output choices are grouped as a single setting category; nor do I really need to disable XLR anyway, so long as I have my playback, so it’s fine.

How did you finaly solve it?
A friend of me has a similar issue with his 150B. Until a couple of weeks ago he could play DSD files using RCA Analog out to his amplifier and suddenly the output showed PCM only in Roon resulting in a noise to the amplifier. By doing a factory reset we got it back working and today he let me know the issue is there again and no factory reset is working. He also uses a coax digital out to his HT Receiver (Denon AVR-7200W) where he uses PCM only (the Rose converts the DSD to PCM). This has been working for over a year without any issues.
Hi, Bene, I solved the PCM / DSD playback problem without any comprehension of HiFi Rose150B input / output settings by trying various combinations of settings, and eventually succeeding with the one below.
I ran HiFi Rose windows application on my laptop, and kept changing the audio input /output settings until both PCM as well as DSD had audio playback on HiFiRose150B.
