Innuos Zenith mk3 => RD160

Hi! I’m planning to buy a new DAC/preamp to which I will connect my Innuos music server via USB. Problem is: some DACs will produce a harsh digital noise when changing the sample rate from 44.1 to 48 khz (or higher).

Has anyone tried to connect a Zenith to the beautiful RD160? Any feedback would be great :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks in advance and best regards,
ZP

Welcome! Nice thing about your Innuos is that it only weighs about 20 pounds and is easy to transport. Perhaps you can ask your local Rose dealer if you could bring it in to connect to and demo the RD160.

@ZuluPapa

Thank you for your interest in the RD160.

We have not officially verified the RD160 with every Innuos model, including the Zenith MK3, so we cannot guarantee the behavior of this specific combination without testing it directly.

Since you are particularly concerned about noise when switching between different sample rates, we recommend testing your Zenith MK3 with the RD160 at your local HiFi ROSE dealer before purchasing, if possible.

As @Eleven suggested, bringing your Innuos to a dealer and testing the USB connection with various sample rates would be the best way to confirm compatibility with your specific setup.

Thank you for considering the RD160!
