Intermediate pre-out level setting

The available balanced level settings on my RS151 are:
200/300/500/1000/2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/7000/8000/9000.

What about adding 1500 and 2500?
I think intermediate values would be useful in the medium-low range in order to allow a better sinergy with the preamplifier, whilst probably useless in the high range.

@microb3802

I’ve forwarded your requirements to the software team.
They’ll review them and add anything they deem possible or necessary.

@microb3802

Our software team has decided not to add this feature.
The reason is that user requests vary, and adding or removing such options could potentially cause further issues.

It’s really a pity!
At least, without changing/increasing the total number of options (if that’s the issue when it comes to manage that menu), a solution could be having the following:

200/300/500/1000/1500/2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/7000/9000

or, probably better,
200/300/500/1000/1500/2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/7000/8000

that’s to say, adding 1500 (which I do think would be beneficial for some users, starting from me) and removing either 8000 or 9000 (that I think nobody will ever use, since extremely high).

Please think it over.

@microb3802

I have forwarded your suggestion, but our software team has decided to keep the current implementation.

Thank you all the same!

Regards,
Roberto

I just changed my preamp to meet one of the same values offered

Just a curiosity …

Is there anyone, in the Rose community, using the pre-out level 8000 mV (Unbalanced 4000 mV) or the 9000 mV (Unbalanced 4500 mV)?

@microb3802

While the 8000mV (Unbalanced 4000mV) and 9000mV (Unbalanced 4500mV) settings are available, these are quite high output levels.

Most users typically use lower settings—such as 4000mV (Unbalanced 2000mV) or 6000mV (Unbalanced 3000mV)—to ensure optimal performance and to avoid potential distortion or over-driving the connected amplifier.

That was my point.
I don’t think somebody is using such high settings, whereas there’s surely someone who could benefit of intermediate values in the lowest range.
That’s the reason why I’ve proposed to add the 1500mV (Unbalanced 750mV) between the already available 1000 and 2000mV (Unbalanced 500-1000mV).
Currently, starting from the lowest values (200/300/500/1000), small increases are available in order to find the most suitable tuning with the amplifier/preamplifier. Adding the 1500mV (Unbalanced 750mV) would meet some users’ need/expectation, while nobody would likely miss the 9000mV.

@microb3802

I’m sorry to share bad news once again.
I have forwarded your suggestion, but our software team has reviewed it and decided to keep the current implementation.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
Your sofware team will have good reasons for not satisfying such a request that looks pretty easy to implement. For sure I’m not aware of potential issues this change might introduce, if any.

@microb3802

I apologize for not being able to accommodate your request.
If there is an update in the future regarding the pre-out level setting, we will let you know.
