So after latest update 12/11/24
Some files on my external usb drive say unknown and when selected a pop up window states invalid argument - song can’t be played-this is by me selecting the music on the rose rs 250 screen .
Yet
When I go onto my iPhone and use the app and select music / network/ folder and select the file from there it plays ok.
I’ve formatted the drive to (ex -fat)
Never had a problem before update - all songs played as they should .
Basically most of my music (not all ,) is not playing from usb directly from rose only when network folder is selected.
Please check if the same symptom occurs even if you try the method below.
RoseConnect EA app–>Settings–>Media Library–>Click DB initialization in the upper right corner, and when initialization is complete, click the storage device to scan the DB.

No - The problem still exists.
It is believed that an error occurred in a specific section during media scanning.
Please answer any additional questions.

Do you see the same symptom even after rebooting the Rose device?

Does the same symptom appear even if you do ADD DB after initializing the DB on the media library screen?

If the same problem occurs even if you add DB after DB initialization as shown above, click Remote Debug.
Rose device–>Settings–>System settings–>Remote debug
(Press Remote debug once and do not turn off the Rose device.) -
Please tell us your Rose ID.

Additionally, after removing the built-in SSD, check if the same is true if you connect only one other storage device.
I think we need to check the DB log file.

Ok so I’m now using my iMac with Audirvana with the same drive connected and it’s working perfectly.
Im using the UPnP - I’ve decided not to use the usb . So far no problems- it may be a failing drive ( time will tell) .
May revert to an SSD at some point.
