IOS App message ambiguity

Does “Deactivate Standby Mode” 1) remove the connection so that the Rose Device shuts down or 2) terminate standby mode and activate the active direct connection to the Rose device?
The message is capable of meaning either alternative.

@StandardModel

Your second explanation is correct.

Rosehan,

Thank you. Would you possibly consider changing the wording to “Reactivate Direct Connection” thereby removing the ambiguity. Another alternative would be " Change from Standby tMode to Direct Connection". My legal writing instructor said all written communication to be clear must pass two tests: 1 ) the statement must say what it is intended to mean and 2) the statement must not be capable of any other interpretation. The first test is easy. The second is much harder.
