Is the RSA720 hub a must for RS130 users? what other good alternatives have users tried?

Yes, if you use a USB DAC other than the RD160, IMO.

I don’t agree. If you’ve modern DAC with an isolated USB in (e.g. Holo Audio May, Cyan2, Spring3,…), then the Hub will not help in any way.
Additional, the RSA720 seems to have a lot of compatibility problems with many devices.

Well, if you can borrow one, try it yourself. Don’t just imagine of what we said.

That said I have a couple of AfterDark. Giesemann Reference SFP Optical Isolator PA1 and the SoTM usb conditioner and also my ethernet switch has the option of using SFP optical.
