IT WON'T LET ME UPDATE TO Rose OS 5.9.09

I connect my RS151 to the network cable coming from the modem, as I always do to update, and nothing happens. I try to do it via Wi-Fi, enable the Wi-Fi settings on the RS151, and nothing happens.

I follow the update steps as I’ve done so many times with my RS250A, and as I did last time with the RS151, I don’t have any option to update.

My internet connection works perfectly fine, since I’m now connected and I also have the TV connected to Netflix, HBO, Disney, etc.

Why is everything such a shit with HiFi Rose?

My RS151 also doesn’t show any update function. I’ve unplugged the power cable and restarted it several times, but nothing happens. Rosehan, please give us some advice on what we should do.

I see I’m not the only one this happens to. Honestly, RS151 is a biblical curse; nothing ever goes right!

Please let me join the club! No update for my RS151.

I had moved my RS520 in to the bedroom to test the HDMI eArc capabilities.
Here I actually power it off at night. (The blue led on the wi-fi/bt dongle glows and flashes.)
So when I powered it up this morning… got the update message and did the update.

Seems to have updated w no issues.

Did it fix any issues? Don’t know. Haven’t had any, but the week’s still young.

I found that unless I turn the unit completely off. I don’t get the update notices. YMMV.

Dear HiFi Rose users

Although yesterday’s notice listed the RS151 as one of the devices included in the update, the RS151 is not actually part of this update.
We apologize for the confusion this may have caused.

What is your current RS151 version?
RS151–>Settings–>System info–>System version info–>View details

This may be because you haven’t updated from a previous version of your RS151.

I have the latest version installed, which made a mess of my RS151.

Could you please elaborate on the issue you’re having with your RS151?
Unlike other products, the RS151 received an update two months ago.

Perhaps you could give JMBARG some tips on how to troubleshoot, he seems pretty incapable of doing so.
