As more and more music is being released in spatial sound or Dolby atmos this is only going to get worse. On other devices there is the ability to turn atmos and Spatial Audio off in the streaming service and the track play just fine in stereo. In the Rose there is not. Will this be fixed?
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We do not support special sound sources such as Atmos or Dolby.
It doesn’t look like it will be easy to improve this area in the future.
I am not asking for Rose to play them. Rose needs to implement a fix to allow them to be turned off like tidal does in its settings.
Since we do not support Dolby Atmos in the first place, the Dolby Atmos ON/OFF function that is visible in the Tidal app itself cannot be added.
If you understood what the button did, maybe you would understand the problem you have.
The on position enables Dolby Atmos tracks. The off position disables them.
Right now HIFI Rose is essentially in the on position with Dolby Atmos tracks enabled and unplayable. No one needs HIFI Rose to add this button. What we need is HIFI Rose to understand that the default setting should be off, allowing the tracks to be played in stereo.
Instead you are going to ignore the problem as it more and more tracks are added in Atmos.
The problem is going to go away, but your customers are.
I now understand your request.
I have forwarded your request to our software team.
They will check if the relevant API exists and if so, add it.
Any updates from your software team on the above? Sadly i am also considering selling off my rs150b given so much of my Tidal music library is solely available in atmos, which as others have stated, is also available in stereo if the Rose app is able to request the available stereo version from Tidal. Thank you.
