Just purchased Rose RS520, have a question

Is there a screen protector on the screen of Rose RS520? I could not see one but may be it is applied to the screen really well that I could not see it?

I thought RS520 comes with a screen protector.

Regards,

Attasit

@Zxypher

If you recently purchased the RS520, there will be a protective film attached to the screen.
You can check if it is attached by touching the corner of the screen with your fingernail.

@ROSEHAN

Thank you.

I tried to touch and feel it but the screen protector must have been applied really well. I could not feel it.

I took a photo (attached below, 5x magnification). Is this show the screen protector. I could not tell if the LCD screen of RS520 go all the way to the edge of the frame so I don’t know if what I see is a screen protector.

Can you please confirm if the picture below shows the screen protector attached to the RS520 screen?

Thanks.

Hello @Zxypher

The question came up somewhere in this forum. I just can’t find it anymore.

Rose answered something like this at the time:

You changed the display or the display protection provider because there were too many air bubbles visible under the film. If you see the first devices that came onto the market, you can see it below (I think there is a red arrow or information writing on the left that indicated that you can/should peel off the film there.

From min. 2:08 (video from 2022)

The new screen protector should no longer have an identifier.

My 520 was built in May 23 and I already have the “new film” on it.

I’m a bit weak on the eyes and always use reading glasses strength 1.5 and a magnifying glass to check and you can see it as your picture shows.

If it really is a film, it is really well made.

I haven’t got behind it with my fingernails yet because it is so well made and I also clean it and I don’t want to ventilate it so that it looks like shit at some point.

@Zxypher

When I looked at the picture you sent, it looks like there is a LCD screen protector attached.

@ROSEHAN @Bonte

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Where can you see when the device has been manufactured?

Hello dtp,

First of all, congratulations on purchasing the 520.

  1. Look at the bottom of the device. There is the screwed SSD drawer, it says so on there.

  2. There are stickers on your box and the date is also on there.

:v:t2:

Thank you. I bought mine from a German dealer as a demonstration model for 2.600,- Euros. It is in perfect condition. According to the label on the bottom, it was built in July 2022. On the one hand, it is already 2 and a half year old, on the other hand, I am not afraid of sudden errors because the device has worked flawlessly so far and still does it. :wink:

It’s nice
 you saved 1000 euros.

I bought mine from Bergauf Audio GmbH - Firkenweg 7 - 85774 Unterföhring. At the time of my purchase, they were the only ones who were 100 euros cheaper than the original retail price in Germany.

One disadvantage: I only saved a hundred euros and received a new, originally packaged (unopened) device.

That’s why I compared the code stickers on the box. They were the same and I knew everything was OK. Everything fits and belongs together.

If your device is from 22, did/do you still have the old screen protector on your 520???

But if it was a demo, it’s probably already been removed, right?

Addendum:

I just noticed that many dealers in Germany are selling the RS520 (3699,-) and that was no different when I bought it in April 24.

So I saved 200 marks (€). :muscle:t2:

:v:t2:

I did not have a screen protector on the display. I assume, it has been removed by the dealer for demonstration purposes. Also, the little yellow High Res sticker on the top side has allready been removed.

I could obtain a brand new RS520 for very good conditions from Audition 6 here in Germany. However, I will have to wait for this device between three and four weeks. Hence, I decided to go for this demonstration model. In addition, it was offered in my preferred color Silver. On the other hand, I did not know that this device is allready more than two years old. So I wonder, if I should return it and wait for a brand new one, which will cost me some additional Euros. But this will only make sense, if meanwhile there have been some changes to the hardware since July 2022.

How can you see, if your device has been accepted for full warranty after registration?

I can see that on my bill!

I also contacted them by phone and asked (which you can do too).

My dealer covers the guarantee that Rose Distributors (then AudioNext GmbH and now rose x PIEGA: Neues Joint Venture ĂŒbernimmt HiFi Rose Vertrieb ) covers in Germany.

Dude, don’t be so lazy and try to do a little research yourself.

It’s not difficult to ask Aunt Google. :wink:

I am not lazy. I just asked a question. That’s it. By the way, I purchased my RS520 directly from audioNEXT GmbH. Didn’t know that they have been the former German distributer of HiFi ROSE.

By the way, I allready have registered my RS520 on hifirose.com. However, I did not receive any confirmation about a successfull registration by mail.

Before I ask a question here (or in my daily life), I always try to answer the question myself.

Just my opinion!!!

Questions are there to be answered in the chat!

How could I answer myself the question, if the respective device has been accepted by HiFi ROSE for full warranty after registration? This can only be answered by the guys from HiFi ROSE. And as far as I know, they do read all these postings. So where is your problem?

Hello,

I don’t have a problem!

I just called my dealer and found out. And there are similar things online.

It was just meant to be a friendly reminder of how you can quickly answer some of your questions yourself. Pick up your phone today and call your 520 salesperson and ask them about the guarantee and the main distributor for Germany.

On your invoice, your question will be answered and you can read through the laws (very interesting and informative).

:v:t2:

Well, for me it is not very friendly, if someone calls me lazy.

In addition, according to German and European right there is a difference between warranty and „gesetzlicher GewĂ€hrleistung“. Warranty is a contract between the manufacturer and the final customer, whereas „gesetzliche GewĂ€hrleistung“ is a relationship between the retailer and the customer. So when I ask for warranty, only HiFi ROSE can answer this. That‘s why I have tried to register my device on their homepage under my user account.

Besides this, I allready have written a respective email to audioNEXT.

Here in my country (NL) the original importer has stopped with Rose and another is now the importer. So finding the actual importer can be hard sometimes.

You are absolutely correct!

ROSE x PIEGA SA now serves as the official European distributor for the brand, covering countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
