What can I say… except that I am extremely disappointed that in 2025 this streamer - otherwise exceptionally built -, does not have Tidal Connect implemented…
It is very hard to imagine that nowadays, a STREAMER, does not have this application implemented.
There are 3 major apps in the streaming world - Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and …maybe Qobuz
And look, one is missing… and the one that’s missing is the one that has enough songs in lossless format…
Instead, we have Spotify Connect, an app that has ALL the songs in lossy format…
Spotify is great for discovering new songs… but for listening… no
Excellent choice Rose…
When all music lovers are trying to listen at the highest possible quality… we see this bad choice by Rose…
I know you can use Tidal with Rose Connect… but there are various shortcomings and problems…
And I really can’t understand how other, much smaller companies, have managed to implement Tidal Connect without problems
A shame, because Rose builds exceptional devices, made with a lot of responsibility, and with a special look
The main role of a streamer is to connect you to as many streaming services as possible at the highest possible quality… this is when you ask a high price for that streamer.
Unfortunately Rose didn’t quite make it…and it’s strange, because there are many streamers, with a much lower price, that have implemented ALL of these streaming services correctly.
I’m sorry to see this, especially since I really appreciate Rose’s products.
Rose is a company that has managed to surpass big names in the audio industry in a very short time.
Congratulations on this Rose…but…there are still a few critical aspects that need to be worked on.
And who knows… 2025 may bring you good things…and we will have the best and most complete streamer in the world.
We don’t want to add Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect either.
We would like to add Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect but it is not possible at the moment.
We are trying to add them when we get the chance.
Thank you again for your advice.
Rose we need Tidal Connect what’s the problem? Could you please elaborate why we can’t have it? I would totally appreciate on my RS130.
There is also Deezer, best streaming service from all. No useless HiRes, everything is 44.1/16, so no interaction with myriads of new masterings and mixes for the same old stuff. It has integrated song recognition, very good Flow and user interface. Unfortunately Rose is one of rare streamers which do not support Deezer.
I often reflect on getting rid of my Rose product because of this.
As emilian67 stated, it’s ridiculous that in 2025 this is still missing. The fact that competing Android based product have it, shows that it’s possible, yet Hifi Rose claims it is not. One has to wonder if they simply don’t want to pay the licensing fee…
While Tidal Connect is missing, Tidal can be enjoyed through the Rose APP, and through Roon.

You do not have all the features of the Original App.
I just bought a RS130 and still have my Aries S1 + PSU.
Tidal Connect is a must-have!
Hello Dan31
Why is TC a must have? What am I missing playing Tidal via the Rose Connect app?
I also run WIIM and Innuos and as far as I know neither has TC.
Maybe I’m confused - but there is a tidal icon on the 130’s screen and it can access Tidal music - once you’ve entered your login details. Is Tidal connect something different?
Yes
It is
Another guality and other stuff
With all due respect, what kind of an answer is this?!
“We don’t want to add Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect either.
We would like to add Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect but it is not possible at the moment.
We are trying to add them when we get the chance.”
Do you not see the the contradiction in your answer?
So, more than one year has passed.
What is the actual status of implementing Tidal Connect?
What are the reasons, you could not or did not want to add Tidal Connect?
To be honest, your player software does not seem to be up to the task.
It would be most convenient for customers if you would just implement Roon and direct access, “connect” access to the leading streaming software such as Spotify, Qobuz, Tidal and so fore.
And not overlay it with your own software that is limited in so many ways when it comes to functions and options the original streaming software offers.
I am considering to sell my RS130 because it is no fun at all to work with your software, its obvious limitations and its at best mediocre usability
Like the previous speaker, I’m enthusiastic about the technology and design of the RS130, and I have the utmost respect for the development work that went into it.
It is all the more unfortunate that support for popular streaming apps is inadequate.
So please do not save on software andsupport the customers who paid a lot of money for a high tech device and add Tidal Connect to make the most use of this fine apparatus!
Yours sincerely
When we first launched HiFi ROSE products, we never stated that we would support TIDAL Connect or Spotify Connect.
Later, due to requests from many users, we added support for Spotify. During the process of trying to support TIDAL Connect, we encountered technical difficulties and were unfortunately unable to implement it.
As a result, we developed the RW800 module, which is designed to support TIDAL Connect as well as other additional functions.
We understand your opinion, but unfortunately it may be difficult for us to reflect your suggestion.
The RW800 is an external expansion module developed by HiFi Rose.
It connects to existing Rose devices (such as RS130, RS150, RS451, RS151, RS201) via USB and is designed to add features that cannot be implemented through firmware updates alone.
Its main purpose is to support third-party streaming services such as Spotify Lossless and Tidal Connect, which have technical and licensing limitations on existing hardware.
The RW800 is scheduled to be officially released in May.
