Lg C3 Oled TV and Rose 150b compatibility

I have a LG C3 Oled tv that’s about 3.5 years old. I have a Rose 150b connected to it threw it’s hdmi connection. My issue is that the oled tv will shut off after about 10-15 minutes of using Rose Tube. I am streaming using Tidal. Picture and sound is excellent while it’s playing. No issues using my roku streaming stick or DVD player. I don’t know what could be the issue. Tv acts like it’s not receiving a signal then (times out) shuts off . Any help in changing TV settings will be greatly appreciated.

Please answer the following questions:

  1. How are you playing Tidal streaming using RoseTube? I didn’t fully understand your explanation.
  2. Does your TV automatically turn off after about 10–15 minutes when you play RoseTube?
  3. Does the same issue occur even when you use a different HDMI cable?
  4. Does the same issue occur even after performing a factory reset on your RS150b?
    RS150b → Settings → System Settings → Factory Reset

I am using Rosetube.
Yes my tv turns off completely after about 15 -20 minutes.
Yes it does, even with different cables.
Still happens after factory reset.
Tv picks up video but not audio, through Hdmi on 150b going to my hdmi 4 on lg tv.

It appears that there may be a TV setting configured to power off when an HDMI device is connected. We recommend checking the HDMI-related power and control settings on your TV.

My understanding is that rose provides only video through HDMI,
Audio is still going through whatever you define in the output part of in/out settings.

@Meni

If you would like to watch videos played on your Rose device on your TV, you do not need to activate HDMI Out in the input/output settings.

Simply play the video on your Rose device and change the “OFF” button to “ON” in the upper-right corner of the playback screen.

Yes I have tried these options already, I have no issue with getting a picture, but with no audio being received on my C3 oled it times out and shuts off.

I’m owning also a C3 connect to a RS150.
No problem at all, but not using any CEC or ECO mode.

I’ve also turned off CEC and ECO mode and timer settings and have got it to work without shutting off. I have a soundbar hooked up to the CEC hdmi on the C3 oled. There has to be a better way to solve this issue without going back and forth turning off CEC and then turning it back on. Shouldn’t the hdmi output on the rose keep the C3 oled tv from shutting off?

I had the same problem and contacted LG.

It’s due to the LG OLED.

In my case, the panel turns off after about 10 minutes (black with a round analog clock).

This is normal behavior for LG OLED TVs and serves as a screensaver or power-saving feature to protect the OLED panel from burn-in when a static image (such as an album cover) is displayed for a long period of time. After about 10 minutes of inactivity or a static image, the TV switches to this mode.

Changing the screensaver time

It is often not possible to extend the 10-minute time period directly, as it is hard-coded into the system to protect the panel.

Go to the LG forum and find out more.

I solved the problem with a second smart TV.

I bought a 32" QLED with built-in Chromecast (Google TV) and use it for Roon Desktop, also because my second device, the Lyngdorf 3400, does not have a display like the Rose devices.

It works fantastically and the picture is bigger than on any HiFi Rose.

It also allows me to protect my LG OLED.

PS:
Videos from RoseTube worked on my LG OLED, of course, as there was no static image, as with cover images.
