Lifetime Rose Connect Premium

The Rose Connect Premium app will be replaced by the Rose One app in the future. My question is: How long will the Rose Connect Premium app continue to work?

Unfortunately, I can’t install the new Rose One app on my tablet; the device is too old. That’s why I’m asking before I buy a new one.

Let’s hope for as long as possible, so that people don’t have to buy devices for $800-1000 to be able to control Rose devices, because it’s crazy to say the least.

@Matterhorn

We plan to replace the Rose Connect Premium app with the RoseOne app once the stability of the RoseOne app has been fully established.

Until then, you may continue using the Rose Connect Premium app without any issues.

At this time, however, we are unable to provide an exact timeline for when the transition will take place.

Thank you for your understanding.

I suggest you think at least twice to avoid making a mistake and deleting the application that currently works well compared to ROSE ONE, which works so-so and requires the user to have an expensive control device to avoid getting irritated while listening to music.

I agree.

Rose One works fine on my MacBook Air ( M4) but on iPhone 16 it is very poor. Major issue is the screen freezing, particularly when switching, say, from RoseTube to Rose Radio or Qobuz. Even after all other apps have been closed, the issue still persists.
The usual work arounds (deleting and reinstalling app, rebooting, factory reset etc. ) have been tried but to no avail.

I don’t know whether the freezing issue is an iOS “ exclusive” or if it occurs on Android devices also.

For streaming, I now use Qobuz Connect which now works perfectly on my RS520. The latest version of the Qobuz app is excellent IMO.
For all other functions I will stay with Rose Connect Premium.

A similar situation occurs with Android devices: you need an expensive device for the Rose One to work properly. If Rose can’t handle this, they could have a serious problem, as many people won’t buy a $1,000 smartphone for the RS 250A, for example, and that could end badly for Rose.
I just wonder if the manufacturer realizes that this could be a serious problem if it goes viral.

If Rose One freezes on an iPhone which is less than two years old and costs almost US$1000 then you are dead right ! Rose will be forever chasing their tails every week ( like now ) trying to find a solution.

There is no doubt that the app has improved a lot since the official launch at the beginning of April but if you need the latest, greatest and most expensive smart phone, whether Android or iOS , to operate even the most basic functions ( e,g, scrolling ) then customers will inevitably vote with their feet and look elsewhere.

My Rose RS520 is a fantastic piece of kit which has given a lot of pleasure to the family for more than three years. For that to continue, Rose One has to work as smoothly as Rose Connect Premium. Until it does, Rose Connect Premium must remain as an option.

I wonder if using Fable (AI LLM) could help debug and improve the code performance.
There are also other models but Fable seems to be top dog at the moment.

This is a big problem for Rose and if they don’t fix it, I’m convinced that people will choose another streaming device manufacturer, because no one will buy expensive control devices for $800-1000 for basic models of Rose devices.
However, I’m surprised that people at Rose read these posts and don’t say anything about it. This is a truly serious problem.

Hello,
You can search for “roseone” on the Google Play Store, then download and install the “roseconnectOne” app.

RÓŻA,
Witaj, ja już mam zainstalowaną najnowszą wersję Rose one i korzystam z niej

I am an Android user and was using a mid-grade Lenovo tablet. Rose One performance was mediocre and inconsistent at best. I decided to try an Apple product for the first time in my life (I’m in my 60s), mainly just for the Rose One app/Rose Connect Premium. I purchased an iPad Mini A17 Pro thinking my experience with the Rose apps would be much more stable and consistent. I was mistaken. If anything, the Rose One app is worse on this top-quality, brand new Apple platform. The app freezes at times and when you tap on the track that is playing in the list, oftentimes the song page does not fit on the screen. You have to hold the screen and move it slowly to the left to see the right side of the screen. There are other bothersome issues, too. Very disappointing. I have not used the Rose Connect app very much since I purchased the iPad. Perhaps I should go back to that until Rose can get all the kinks worked out of the Rose One app.

It’s shocking to read posts like this, and I don’t understand why Rose isn’t doing anything about it. She doesn’t want to be a prophet, but this could end badly for Rose if the developer doesn’t give the app to someone who can turn it into a platform that satisfies users, even on mid-range devices, not to mention devices like the one mentioned above.

This is a shame, and I’m putting it very delicately.

And what will Rose say about all this?
