How can I listen to or add to a favorites list all the songs of the same musical genre and listen to them all randomly, without having to select them by artist or album?
Thanks in advance.
The link below shows how to add music to a playlist and how to create a playlist.
You can create a playlist and play the tracks in the playlist randomly.
As shown in the picture below, if you activate the shuffle icon (the crossed arrows) on the playback screen of your Rose device, the tracks you play will be played randomly regardless of their order.
Thank you very much for your response, but it’s not what I want to do; perhaps my question wasn’t clear.
I have my music collection, well-labeled by artist, album name, song, genre, etc. When I go into the music section, there’s a menu with Album-Artist-Genre-Composer.
If I select Genre, all the genres I’ve created appear.
What I’d like to do is select one of these genres and play any song from that genre randomly. Do I have to create a playlist and manually add each album according to the chosen genre?
Thank you very much, and I echo the sentiment of the vast majority of forum members.
The software is very outdated; when will there be a major upgrade?
.
Now I understand what you mean.
First, any tracks you play are added to the Queue.
The Queue is a list of tracks being played. When you select any track to play—such as from a Playlist, Apple Music, Qobuz, Tidal, RoseTube, etc.—it will be added to the Queue. The Queue can hold up to 3,000 tracks. If you try to add more after reaching 3,000 tracks, the earliest added tracks will be removed in order.
So, if you want to play only a specific genre, you have two options:
- Play all albums within that genre and then use shuffle playback, or
- Create a playlist with the albums from that genre and play it.
However, it is not possible to enter the Genre section, select a genre, and directly shuffle-play all tracks within that genre.
Okay, thanks for the reply.
So, is there any way to import a playlist? Perhaps by adding the albums you mentioned in your response? What software do you recommend for creating these playlists so I can then import them into Rose? If it has to be done manually, album by album or song by song, it’s completely impractical.
Thank you very much.
