Losless support

I’ve been using a Rose RS520 for almost a year now and am really pleased with the sound and build quality. However, I’m starting to get annoyed by the lack of software support.

I would like to see support for:

  • Spotify Lossless
  • Apple Music Lossless
  • Plexamp

I now also use Tidal, but I don’t think Tidal is a good platform for me.

I read on this forum that many other people would like the same support. I even read that people are looking for alternative brands and trying to sell their Rose products.

I would sincerely urge Rose to put more effort into developing their software. You have wonderful products, but you lag behind on software.

jeroenimo,

“It’s hard” according to HiFi Rose. Meanwhile, much less expensive Eversolo has rolled it out.

StandardModel

I agree Rose software and updates need work. WiiM has more capability then Rose and a WiiM pro can be had for around $150.

Apples to Oranges.

What’s the version of Android Rose is on… what about the others?

Then ask Spotify about which versions of Android they support first?

I switched to Qobuz out of frustration. I must honestly say that I am pleasantly surprised. The interface is good, the music offer is to my liking and I can play losless music with Qobuz Connect.

But still… I’ve been using Spotify for over 10 years now. I personally find this the most pleasant platform and was really looking forward to their new losless offer.

Please Rose, fix this

You can keep your free version of Spotify.
So if/when you want to switch back, you don’t loose anything.

Yeah, yeah, we all know you are clueless. Spotify, even the full app, supports Android version Rose uses just fine. There were no new releases of it since 2023 anyway. And there’s a pure JavaScript SDK, with Connect support and all. One could get Spotify lossless, with Connect, running on a Windows Mobile PDA from 2010 with less effort that Rose needs to fix a misspelling in the UI.

Boris,
Please adults are talking.

What you seemed to have missed is that for some products … they are not designed for backwards compatibility. Meaning you first support the current version of Android, then work backwards to make it compatible.

And it all depends on how much of the app interfaces with the OS itself.

You would know this if you’ve actually ever written software.
And Spotify runs on Windows, Android, iOS, MacOS, & Linux.

Please just go away to ASR.

Exactly. So retarded children like you should keep their traps shut.

That’s not how it works. If you knew anything about software that didn’t come from watching “War Games” once, you might know.

It interfaces with Android 7 just fine.

If yo momma ever lets you go to any other sites, you’ve been hitting stuff I wrote. Not that you would know of course, being a clown.

And that has what exactly to do with Spotify (Connect, Lossless, whatever) running fine on Android 7?

Be normal to each other! You’ve already messed things up in another thread, but please keep it a bit tidy here. Put yourself over it and try not to embarrass someone else and especially yourself.

We all want a solution, right?

I know, I’m definitely not throwing my account away either. At Qobuz you get free access to Soundiiz and you can easily synchronize your playlists from all streaming services. So for now I’m saved and I’m happy with Qobuz so far, but I would still like to use Spotify.

Yeah that’s cool.
Honestly spotify works for me and I can get close to lossless w BT 5.0 via my MB20.

Much better than Rose’s BT 4.2 dongle.

If you don’t have a BT transceiver you can always pick up an iFi unit that does BT 5.4 (lossless) for $250.00
