I charged on my hd linked to my Rose 150b about 60.000 songs but many are not visible so I can’t play many many albums!
I tried to reset and rescan the dbmany times (spending long time), I tried to disinstall the app Ios and android and reinstall but any improvement.
The software Rose is really terrible in bench with my old Cocktai audio x30 that manages perfectly the same db music!!!
Also the classification that are perfect in cocktail in Rose is confused and not right for many albums so you can’t use the genre classification.
I’m very angry for all these bugs for a machine that costs 4.000€!!!
Unfortunately welcome to the club
Can you give an example with screenshots?
Do you tag the music files or only use directory and file naming?
I used to have a Cocktail X10, then changed to Rose RS520.
With the Cocktail i was not happy because it creates it’s own directory/file structure which is very difficult to manage.
The master of my music is on a Windows desktop computer not in Cocktail and not in Rose.
With the Rose i copy the finished files to the internal SSD and do a DB rescan.
Rose was very poor with software. They corrected many issues but it is still not really wonderful super ultra good
My DB is about 130.000 songs. It’s on HD ext linked to Rose by usb. All the album folders are in one folder “Music”
Rose DB show me only 60.000, so I loss 70.000 files.
I can see all the files in the HD Rose by PC in my network but it’s like the rose can’t manage over 60.000 songs.
All my files are tagged perfectly by genre so the DB tool of cocktail X30 reads all the albums and manges the classification by genre, instead the Rose RS150 show me only a part of DB and with a different classification very confused and not compliance with the original tags.
This is cocktail DB tool, it’s perfect and compliant with the tags
This Rose hifi connect, it’s casual and confused very bad!!
The Rose does not get all tagged information and can not find everything by search. I have several such problems of finding.
Album artist and artist are not treated the same.
For example multiple artists, genre, composer are not separated.
My structure of my music collection looks similar to yours. I have one folder per album, the tracks are in this folder incl. album art etc.
I do not know of any restrictions re. number of tracks in DB.
