Message in Korean asking me to factory reset my Android ID

Hi,
Just purchased my RS150B three days ago. Nice machine !
After spending hours of trial and error, I set it up eventually – until this morning.

This morning, the following Korean message showed up many times while I was playing music.

Based on Google translation, the message says that my ANDROID_ID is not compatible with Apple Music and I was asked to factory reset the ID. See screen capture below:

Questions:

  1. I set my unit to use English. Why the warning message is shown in Korean ?

  2. What is ANDROID_ID ? How and When was it created ? I don’t recall I created it.

  3. I don’t use Apple Music. How come the ANDROID_ID is not compatible with it ?

  4. When I press the Confirm button on the screen, unit continues to function properly. But after awhile, the message shows up again. How can I get rid of it ?

  5. If I have to factory reset my unit in the end, does it mean that all my settings and music storage and network settings are gone and I have to do it all over again ?

  6. Will the facotry reset delete music files I stored on the additional SSD storage.

  7. Will it affect my user account name and password I registered before ?

Lastly, I tried rebooting the system. It doesn’t help.

Thanks in advance for helping
Tom

Hello,

  1. Sorry, the message in Korean will be fixed soon.
  2. It’s automatically made when you use Apple Music in Rose, not a problem at all.
  3. What were you playing when the message appeared? TIDAL? Qobuz?
  4. I need to know what you were playing to answer this question.
  5. Factory reset will reset the WIFI information, music settings but it doesn’t affect music storage.
I’m sorry but yes, your settings and network settings should be done again.
  6. No, factory reset will not affect files in your SSD.
  7. You will have to login again with the account that you created previously. (If you want a new one, you can create a new one)

Please let me know what you were playing before.
Also, please let me know your ROSE ID.

Best Regards,

Hi,

I was playing music files stored on the NAS via network. Some files are in FLAC, some files in AIF.
But some AIF files are using *.AIFF and some are in *.AIF.
Not sure if the file extension differences cause the issue.

So your advice is I should factory reset the 150B now ?

However, since the warning message is not always showing. So I’ll probably leave it for now instead of resetting the equipment now, because I have 4,600 albums on the NAS. It took nearly a day to scan all the information to the 150B

My ROSE ID is OD306E

All software modules on it are latest.

Lastly, is there a way to speed up the music scanning process ?

Tom

edit: a few files are in M4A

BTW, the warning message came up when the Apple Music icon on the iPad is clicked.
But I don’t think I accidentally clicked the icon during music playing.

I factory reset my RS150B. I suppose the warning message should go away.
Thanks
