MQA filed for bankruptcy?

Do you hear last news? Seems MQA is in trouble.

I am not surprised. There has been a lot of backlash lately since Goldensound posted his video op YouTube called ‘I posted tracks on tidal’ where he shows that mqa is not lossless as they claim.

We (on headfi) concluded, agreed that it was a scheme to get money from hardware and software licences, producers musicians and customers alike without actual benefits. Yes, the filesize is smaller but regular 16/96 in PCM sounds better than 24/48 mqa folded at the same size.

I have payed twice €100 for devices with mqa that I never will use. It’s just an elaborate scam. And it would have infected the entire (high res) music industry.

So good riddens.

I have to agree. I subscribed for a bit, compared Tidal with Qobuz and it really wasn’t close in several regards.
