Not sure how this will affect TIDAL now that they have started including Hi-Res FLAC tracks.
As published by What HiFi…. MQA has been saved from administration

Woorlord,
How does MQA compare with FLAC in terms of audio quality?
StandardModel
MQA was a space saving codec. it shouldn’t be, and isnt, better than any other lossless codec. it’s a solution in search of a problem. with bandwidth not really an issue these days its not an attractive feature.
the “MQAir” tech is why they still exist and were bought out of bankruptcy. they are claiming that its a better wireless codec than bluetooth. maybe so and if thats the case then hopefully is does well. otherwise the attraction of MQA is zero for me.
