Multichannel audio pass through

Hello.
My system now is NAS network streaming (via ethernet/wifi) to network player (an old oppo bdp-110) connected via hdmi to Denon AVC-110 which feeds the 9.1 speakers from analog output. I also have a separate 2 channels amp/preamp taking digital in from oppo and sending analog output on the two front channels to Denon who then mixes these with the digital multichannel.

I would like to use Rose 150B as streamer and DAC My question: can it read multichannel video files like mp4(x264/265)/others from the network (or from internal SSD) and pass through the full signal via HDMI to denon, while at the same time using its internal DAC to process the 2 front channels and pass this on its analog outputs? (so I would then connect my front speakers directly on the Rose output to my separate 2 channels amp/preamp)?
I hope my question is clear… and sorry newbie here, if you think of any simpler setup that would result in the same (play multichannel output on denon, but use Rose DAC decoding for front channels) then I’m happy to hear about!
Thank you

Apriciat answer for this question…
Also want to pass through multi ch audio from Nas…
Thanks

Hi, any solution for this question?

Hello @Rafic8 @bsauvage

Sorry for the late reply.
Analog output is not supported when sending audio signals through HDMI.
In other words, HDMI and other outputs cannot be output at the same time.

Thank you

Clear and thank you. Is there a plan to do this in the future, by any chance?

Hi‚

So on this topic:

Just recently setup the 150b and have been largely disappointed with passthrough performance so far on hdmi. The only “success” I’ve had is with playing some atmos, .mka files. Only one album (Abbey Road) played, the atmos data was not passed to my Denon AVR but 5.1 was indicated on input. So, I was getting 5.1 at least. None of my other atmos .mka files played at all, including Hans Zimmer in Prague, Roger Waters Us + Them. Just an error message was given. None of my multichannel FLAC files 5.1 or 7.1 (Kraftwerk) were passed through properly. All played in 2 channel only, although the display on the Rose indicated the proper number (6) of channels and bit rate for the file.

I hope at least the passthrough implementation for multichannel FLAC can be improved since it’s a pretty common file type today. I mean, if my lowly Shield can do it (via Kodi) it would appear rather trivial for such a premium component to have this capability as well.

Thank you.
