Multiple artists, genre, composer are not separated V5.7.x

In Android app > Music > Classification > Genre, Artist, Composer the entries are not separated.

Genre; Tagged as multiple genres are listed as Genre1;Genre2;Genre3…
Artists; Tagged with multiple artists are listed as Artist1;Artist2;Artist3…
Composer; Tagged with multiple composers are listed as Composer1;Composer2…

The 5.7.x Version & DB can not understand separator function (for example with ; semicolon) but this is important for filtering, search, finding and listing according to the tags.

@Ben

For example, if the meta information of an album is as follows:
Artist: A Artist, B Artist
Genre: A Genre, B Genre
Composer: A Composer; B Composer

Is it correct that you want A/B Artist, A/B Gerne, and A/B Composer to be displayed in Music → Classification and changed so that the corresponding album appears when you enter?

Hello ROSEHAN

yes that is what i mean.
Multiple artists, multiple album artists, multiple genre, multiple composer etc. separated in DB with special character so that hey can be found. For example i want to see on how which albums/tracks a special musician is performing. I get an entry for that musician and i can check on which album/track this on is performing.

The more details can be searched the more pleasure the music collection will be besides music.

There is music written by 1 composer but also written by 2 or more composers.
Music played by multiple artists per album
Music played by multiple artist per piece of music.
Music played by multiple artists per piece of music but 1 main artist per album.
Music played by a band/orchestra/choir per album but each piece of music also has additional different artists
Music played by a band but with special artist

Then there is also label, country, producer (ECM, Germany, Manfred Eicher)

and so on :slight_smile:

It is all according to tagging by Discogs & MusicBrainz

tagging.discogs.1

release.information.discogs.2

@Ben

I have discussed your request with our software team.
We have confirmed the information, but in order to apply your request, the entire DB structure of our Rose device must be changed, so it will take a long time to fix it.

Hello ROSEHAN
it is good news that Rose has confirmed this. If it can be engineered for Rose devices i think it will be great.
What does it mean " a long time"?

@Ben

This request literally takes a lot of time to develop.

I see! I understand DB design and programming a little…
