I returned the DAC204 to my dealer. I remembered it was what it called when connecting to the hub. Any other 204 owners help confirm it?
My RS130 doesn’t recognize 204 either, it does say USB , but nothing plays so I use coaxial output. But, RSA720 arriving next week, so maybe it will be even better !
@Bicycle Heads up I had to update the firmware on my RSA720 to get it to “work” with my Holo May DAC. I see from other threads that @ROSEHAN mentioned another firmware fix maybe coming. You’ll need to request the firmware and use a PC to push the firmware to the RSA720. If you need any help I’m happy to DM. Hopefully, the one you receive has the latest firmware and this is a non-issue.
Hi Bicycle Thanks for your response. I have same problem no matter using the RSA720 or connecting the DAC directly til the RS130. I have to select xCORE USB Audio 2.0 in the USB DAC setup to get to work. I have requested the SW update from Hifi Rose and it just arrived today. SO I will look into installing that this weekend. Hope that will do it. I’ll let you know when it’s done.

Yes I hope mine ships with the software but I have to admit it’s been a lot of fun and educational learning so much about my device and system. That’s why I bought the ra280, the bi amp and BTL modes made big differences than just standard 2 channel set up
Hi HMANAZ which windows version did you use to update the firmware on your RSA720 ?
I have tried with a PC with windows10 and that dosn’t work . . . .

You don’t need the FMC or switch…just buy a night hawk x10 and plug your modem into that and then directly into your RS130. Use a good quality 19v LPSU for the x10 and you are getting a fantastic sound.
I am trying to download the firmware for my RSA720, but I am getting stuck here. My computer will read the USB stick from the RSA720, but it won’t “activate” the RSA720 so I can’t download the update. Can anyone who has successfully used the firmware let m e know how they did it? On what operating system they used?

Yes I had to unplug and plug back in the usb and power cord into rsa720 for 2 hours. It was nightmare but eventually it worked.
But still doesn’t recognize dac with new firmware so I ordered new SFPs, base1000 t models, see if that helps
Even though I updated to new firmware, it never recognize the DAC so I cannot enjoy any improvement ! I don’t understand why Hifi Rose release the product when its not even viable. Even their firmware update process has been a terrible experience and very inconsistent. I am so frustrated, it make me reconsider my RD160 purchase .
Hello. I send an email to citech the company behind hifi Rose and I told them about this bad software and all the problems that causing and I said that I never going to buy another product. It’s waste of money. It’s like fooled us all.Instead of enjoying the music with a decent software like Eversolo does we spending time to wright here to ignorant people. They responded and said that they understand and they know the problems and future updates are coming to resolve all the issues. So let time to prove if this is true. Greetings to all.

And I forgot to say this… DON’T TRUST REVIEWERS AND SELLERS NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT THAT SO BAD SOFTWARE AND BUGS BEHIND OF THIS. THAT MEANS SOMETHING ELSE. YOU UNEDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN

Honestly I love hifi rose products. I was planning buying one more rs130 , and I already pre-ordered rd160 with one thousand deposit. I spent 3 days suffering this rsa720 problem, pulling the cable on and off on five different computer for 3 to 4 hours. I just wish they help us and solve our problems soon.

@Bicycle I was thinking to buy one of the amps and the sfp hub but if they don’t fix the software I am not going to buy anything else. I spend once 5k for the RS130. The hifi Rose brand is banned for me.

FWIW - I did have a problem with my screen that was promptly fixed by my dealer… so it hasn’t been without bumps. That said…
My Holo May KTE, RS130, and RSA720 are all working perfectly together. I prefer roon over the ROSE UI, so there is that… Sounds incredible works perfectly other than every once in a while, I need to reboot my DAC and/or ROSE to get it recognized.

Please don’t give up yet. The rs130 sound and looks is still industry leading and no other product comparable. Lumin and Aurrender look so plain and cheesy with no visual enjoyment.
Hang in there little bit longer. They’ve come through before . I think it can be solved my friend.
