Navigating RoseTube with (old) remote

I have the Rose 150b and first version (plastic) BT remote.

I can’t access certain navigational functions of RoseTube from remote as per the below video.

The buttons on either side of the Play/Pause button work correctly from the hardware unit itself, whereas from the remote they send the app back to the Home screen (which ceases the RoseTube video).

Can developers add these 2 additional navigational elements to the remote? Or is this addressed with the newer metal remote?

The functions supported by the plastic remote control and the aluminum remote control are all the same. It seems that the problem will remain the same even if you replace it with the aluminum remote control.
