New 130 user - issues…

I’ve just got a 130 - use an iPhone - and can’t clear the play queue. I’ve even reset the unit with the power chord. Not happening.

The queue is still there - and shuffle play is across the entire history - NOT what’s just been added…so any tracks previously played (say from different genres) can crop up into the shuffle at any time.

Overall - queue management seems absolutely dreadful. Anybody any idea how to get the play queue reset to zero?

I’m probably going to use ROON - as I don’t use much functionality, just want to select a playlist and go. It’s super frustrating that streamer function 1.01 seems to be so badly implemented.

…and has anybody mentioned how utterly awful the apps are?? (I know they have - and I was expecting them to be bad, but holy flip it’s like stepping back 10 years!

Roon is the way to go IMHO. It is the best interface regardless of what you think of the Rose one.

Totally agree. I was hoping to get rid of Roon subscription after buying my 130, but its the only way to not be frustrated. Also recommend getting a UMIK-1 mic, and making some Convolution filters in Roon to get the most of it, since the 130 doesn’t have any room correction either.

I bought the Roon lifetime some years ago. I think they still offer it and I would argue the way to look at it is that it is a “component” in your system and when you think that way, it is a bargain compared to cables or other minor upgrades.
I’ve tried convolution filters and have the mic, but I’m happy with the bass and that is mainly what room correction is for. Otherwise, just use some EQ in Roon for taming brightness or other uses.

Good point on the life-time sub. I’ll consider that.

The room correction part was for Matt.

I do find the room correction fixes some brightness I have in my room, so not just for bass.
