Yes, it would be very interesting to me to see how it sounds on your big system because I have considered selling my rs520 to go to your exact setup except for speakers.A large investment for me so I’m hesitant to do so as my rs520 sounds so good in my treated dedicated listening room.Thanks for your response and if you have any other thoughts about the 2 systems I would love to read them.Thanks!
And I left out that I would love to hear it without the rs160,using the dac in the 520.Did you use the rs130 before having the rs 160?
I did have the RS130 in my main system before the RD160 arrived. At the time I had both the Geshelli Labs Dayzee DAC and the PS Audio Stellar Gold DAC. Simply stated…
- Geshelli = Good
- PS Audio = Better
- Rose = Best
I went from an Eversolo A8 to the RS130 + RD160, and even though the A8 used the same DAC chips as the RD160, the SQ is leagues ahead.
Thanks, I respect your opinion as we had a little discussion about Roon SQ not to long ago and I am now Roon free as I have been using Qobuz Connect and playing around with the updated Rose interface.Bottom line for me:Roon still has the best user interface and my gear/room still has the best SQ when using Rose by itself followed by Qobuz Connect.

Looking back at this thread where concerns regarding stuttering at the beginning of each track is mentioned but the thread itself changes course and all posts concerning this issue ceased.(June 16th) It is now July 21 and I am still hearing this annoying stutter much to the point of switching back to the ROSE app. IS Rose addressing this? I do not see a lot of concern regarding this issue which I find astounding because I cannot tolerate this interruption in track flow. Try listening to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon!!! Worse then fingernails on a chalkboard!!!

There are various threads on the subject of the stuttering / gapless playback issues with Qobuz Connect on this forum. You are quite right -there should only be one thread and then the importance of finding a solution would not be diluted!
Just to add my 10 cents worth, my RS520 still suffers from the problem.
I have written to Rose support asking when an update can be expected but so far no answer
How do you contact Rose Direct? If enough users complain about this, perhaps they will take this issue seriously . It appears this is not just a symptom of my unit which is a ROSE 150B but for a number of their products so i think there should be enough users to warrant affirmative action by Rose!!!

Nevertheless, there appears to be “radio silence” from Rose on when we will see an update which can be applied to all models and solve this problem.
