No sound since new LG-TV

Hi there….
Recently I bought a new TV, an LG OLED55G36LA, and now I hear no sound, when I play RoseTube or my own recordings from my SSD, using HDMI. I tried several inputs, but nothing happened. Formerly I had a Samsung TV and I had no problems with that.
When I connect my HDMI cable I even see the text: “source not connected “, however the TV screen shows the content at that moment .
What is the matter here???

Are you trying to connect a Rose device and LG OLED55G36LA to play music from Rosetube or SSD on the Rose device through the TV speakers?
Or are you trying to transmit the video played on the Rose device through the TV?

Please answer a few questions.

  1. What is the model name of the Rose device you use?
  2. Are you trying to transmit the sound played on LG OLED55G36LA through the Rose device?
  3. If you want to play a video or sound source on the Rose device and transmit the sound to the Rose device and only the video through the LG OLED55G36LA, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI port (not arc or earc port) on the rear of the Rose device and connect it to the LG OLED55G36LA HDMI port.
  4. Please explain in more detail the device you use and its purpose.

I own an RS150b.
I have put some homemovies on my build-in SSD on the Rose.
I play them from my Rose to my LG television, using HDMI. I use the “HDMI ouput” on my Rose. (not the ARC!)
A few weeks ago, when I still had my Samsung TV, everything went well: I SAW the picture and HEARD the sound.
But now I only see the picture, but hear nothing, while my TV says: “no source connected to this HDMI input”! Is n’t it a bit strange?
I also have played a HDMI signal from my Eminent Mediaplayer to the same HDMI-port on my LG television: everything went well, so I saw the picture and heard the sound.
So the problem is a Rose-problem I think!

  1. If you play video on RS150b without connecting the TV and RS150b with an HDMI cable, will the sound and video be played through RS150b?
  2. Is there no sound when you connect the TV and RS150b via an HDMI cable? it is impossible. This is because the HDMI out port of RS150b only transmits video.
  3. Have you enabled HDMI on the ouput side in In/Out Settings on RS150b? Please take a photo of the In/Out settings on your RS150b and show it to us.
