No tone controls line in

I still like my Rose RS201E.
But one thing i am not happy with is the Line in on the device.
Why not ?

I also still use vinyl to play on a Dual turntable that has build in phono preout , it works.
But the level , gain is much lower then the rest.
But the worst thing is, you can do no tone controls at all on line in !
Every brand has that Denon, NAD etcetera ?
Why not on this nice device HIFI ROSE ?

But there is a solution to this music lovers !
The DOUK T14EQ , not expensive at all.
Around 60 or 65 euro/dollar.
Then you can set volume /gain and also Bass and Treble.

@Arno

RS201E is an initial Hi-Fi Rose product and is designed to bypass the tone control function when connected through line in.
RS250a and higher models can be used without problems.

That is too bad.
I also got a NAD c700 , that costs less and has tone control on every input, stream etcetera.

I now have bypassed the problem ( see the link ) , with phone amp, that has volume and tone control ( bass and treble) ,
So it is now on the same output and tone as with streaming.
It is not expensive that is not the problem.

But is there no method from editing the software on this unit so that tone control and gain is possible.
Or does the chipset not allow that ?

@Arno

RS201E is an initial Hi-Fi Rose product and is designed to bypass the tone control function when connected through line in. This function is not possible hardware-wise. It cannot be corrected even with a software update.
