No video on tv from the unit

I just bought the RS250. I’ve connected the HDMI cable to the tv. However, it doesn’t show anything from the front panel and when streaming audio with video, I only see a picture while the video plays on the unit’s tiny screen. Please advise. Thanks! Pete

2 questions:

  1. Did you update the software?

  2. Did you enable HDMI output?

Thank you both for the suggestions. Software is up-to-date, HDMI is selected. Kip, attached is my screen shot. I don’t see the TV icon like yours. Thanks! Pete

Hi,

You should be able to see it when launching a video —have a look on the Rose screen.

Do make sure, however, to check the quality of your hdmi cable and confirm that the HDMI port on your television corresponds to the one to which the Rose is connected.

The TV icon is only displayed on the playback screen and only when a video is played e.g. via Rosetube. To do so, simply tap the bar at the bottom.

That may be the problem. I’ve ordered a new 4k certified HDMI cable. Stay tuned. Thanks!!
