Not able to refresh albumart after putting new song file in SSD

I updated album art and re-upload to internal SSD thru SCP, but HifiRose is not able to re-fetch the new album art, and no manual way to force refetch song meta info…

MUSIC / ALBUM view showing 0/0 after last FW update - #15 by Bonte? U=bonte

@LysitheaTung

Please check a few things.

  1. RS130–>Music–>Album–>Can’t you see the album covers for all the albums you see here?
  2. Which app do you use, RoseConnect Android or iOS?
  3. Are all the album covers not visible in the album list? Or is it a problem that the album cover does not appear on all tracks when entering the album?
  1. No, cannot see on RoseConnect, but yes able to see on RS150B.
  2. RoseConnect
  3. No, not all album covers not visible, it’s some song (after uploading the file through SCP to internal SSD) cannot refresh when I play the song (now playing screen). The feel is like the song info is cached before and never trigger an update in the cache.

Hi Bonte, I tried db rescan and no luck, even after reboot the RS150B

Hello @LysitheaTung,

did you really do a DB “reset”???

After the DB reset and the restart, a context menu should appear on your home screen that says “New storage is being recognized”. That is the sign that the DB reset was successful. Then rescan the disk and then theoretically the song with the new cover should be in the database.

I have also changed several cover images and tags with MP3 tags via smb://… and it has always worked for me. Of course, I always rescanned afterwards.

I have the time and always do a DB reset straight away, even if I have only changed one title, because I only have a small mouse collection on my SSD.

PS:
I don’t know if you’re still using the device when scanning the DB (for example: RoseTube or RoseRadio…)
I didn’t do anything else with it and waited until the DB scan was finished (even before the update to 5.7…)

As I said, I’m just passing on my impressions/experiences with my RS520.

I don’t know what it looks like on a 150B, the scanning properties may be different.

:v:t2:
