Sent it back to the dealer. The device is ridiculously unstable for a premium brand. Every time something pops up.
After numerous factory resets, updates, and visiting fora to find answers to non-functioning features I had enough, this is not what I paid for.

Sorry to hear for your bad experience! I may reckon you have just got a problematic unit instead. I could only simply said you are too unlucky to get that unit. I would admit that not every device is free of trouble depending on your luck! I friend of mine always got problem from his first day of use on the 250. But mine has been using for more than a year with zero problem. It is really hard to tell machine by machine though.
Complaints are unfortunately not uncommon for this and other models from what I see on this forum.
I also wondered about this for a few weeks, because of the poor quality firmware being made available.
This is no longer the case with the latest firmware releases this year.
Still, it’s disappointing to have so many bugs and inconveniences on these high-priced devices. Watch out, though, because the competition is there, and at a lower price.
Well given the amount of complaints here I’m not sure if this was an isolated case.
Top brands (that charge HIGH prices) shouldn’t deliver faulty products…
Not one of my other devices in my different set-ups (and i got a few) have ever faulted me. Not even the cheap bluesound node2 which I have running for years…
I know you may not agree for what I said. But it is really true most products are not launched up to perfections nowadays especially those small manufacturers. Sometimes it is hard to tell. The cheapest product may have good finishing and QC. I have numerous stuffs all buying new for around US5000 to 10,000. They all got visible blemishes or small dent. Yes, nowadays all stuffs are like that. Manufacturer are refused to replaced for another one. You may need to accept…
And luckily my Rose RS130 may be the only one without any problems either cosmetically or functionally.
You may need to accept imperfection otherwise you will be very sad. I could admit that all works in the past has better quality & QC, seldem found problems especially for all high price stuffs.
However, I am going to bet for a Rose 180 too😉
