Oh dear, I wish you all the best and good health. Perhaps, when you have a chance, you could look for a different portal or forum where you can vent… sorry, but this is just embarrassing.
Why do you all see this all so intensely? It’s also fun when you see it from the other side of the medal.

its not about date, HiFi Rose’s numbering is confusing. 5.12 Early Access was released back in early July on an older codebase. 5.11 is the official branch that kept receiving updates into autumn. Because 5.12 EA is older code, it lacks the newer DSP changes that introduced the noise bugs in the recent 5.11 updates
5.11 “become Beta”, 5.12 more careful 5.10 with extra bells&whisles. It do not destroy you life of music:)
Thanks for your point of view.
In my percepcion it’s the name “early access” that is confusing.
For me “early access” firmware means that it contains the most recent “inventions” that have come out of the makers minds. And that it is offered to the Rose users as a try out to see if the new ideas work as they were meant to do, or if they are still buggy and need adjustments.
After this process the newer changes are adopted in the “official” software that, for that reason, lags (in my percepcion) always behind.
So that the “early access” firmware is based on old code and that the “official” firmware is the one with “newer changes” and therefore the most up to date is for me totally confusing.
Me too:) I dont know what developers thinking. I think its very bad move, but they can fix it with better new people with bigger salary;)
If students make mistakes.

Well, I see I made the right choice by jumping ship early on; it’s the same old story for HiFiRose customers. To those who are still on board—I’m sorry, but if you’re still holding onto these pretty little boxes, it’s nothing short of sado-masochism.
I’ve had mine for about a month, updated it to the latest software, and I am a very, very pleased User. Whether I’m using the front panel, or the Rose One app, or Roon I find my RS 520 behaves itself really well. At the moment, the only changes I would make would be to add an overall volume limiter, and add my hometown of Victoria to the weather database
I find the Qobuz integration is very good. Ripping CDs to the internal SSD works very well as well.
Does their album and album art look up work as well as Roon? No - but it’s fairly decent, and Roon stands alone as the class leader in this area.
Yeah.
My pet peeve is the wifi/bt dongle.
And I don’t even use the remote anymore. Just use RoseOne.
Ditto
That remote is why I asked for an overall volume limiter
The volume movement after you take your finger off the button is pretty ridiculous
I think I saw that they are working on that
Rose One is excellent however so I can’t say I miss the remote
I am encountering the following issue: I turned on my RS 151 and found that I wasn’t fully logged in—or rather, it appeared as though I was, but I couldn’t watch or listen to content from YouTube, nor could I add new albums (for instance, in Tidal). Furthermore, my device did not appear under the “Device Management” tab, even though I supposedly appeared to be logged in. Also, for the first time since I’ve owned the unit, no update notification appeared upon startup—which usually happens (I had intentionally avoided updating due to reports of issues from other users).
Given this, I decided to perform a factory reset. However, the applications for services like radio, Tidal, and Qobuz are not appearing in the Rose Store, and I am unable to log into my Rose account—neither from the device itself nor from a tablet.
Is there a technical issue with the Rose server—similar to past incidents where users were unable to log into their accounts—or is there something wrong with my player?
And even if it is a server-side issue preventing the system from recognizing users, why do the applications for Tidal, Qobuz, and others fail to appear in the Rose Store after a factory reset, and why am I still unable to log into my account?
A quick update to my previous post: upon pressing the “Rose Store” button, a notification appeared stating that a new update was available. I thought this might be the reason why the apps were missing from the Rose Store. After restarting the device, the update prompt reappeared, so I updated to version 08. However, I still cannot log into my account, and apps like Tidal, Qobuz, etc., are still missing from the Rose Store—it just shows a black screen.
Could this be a synchronization error with the Rose server?

Sounds feasible.
I’m assuming you did a hard reboot (power off) of the device.
What about a system reset? (factory reset)
I’ve carried out both tasks. My Rose account isn’t working properly.
What’s more, I don’t have any apps in the Rose Store; they still won’t load, even after a factory reset.
This happened to me two months ago when resetting for a different issue. Next day everything was working properly without any further intervention.
And did the apps themselves return to the Rose store—Tidal, Qobuz, Rose Tube, etc.? Were you able to install them and log in, for example, to Tidal?

In my case, there also seems to be an issue with my account; I’m not fully logged in. This morning, I couldn’t access Rose Tube, nor could I save anything to my favorites in Tidal. After a reset, I’m sometimes able to log in and sometimes not—but even when I am logged in, things don’t work properly. Plus, the Rose store is completely empty—there’s nothing there at all…
Can you watch content on Rose Tube right now? Are you logged in correctly, or are you experiencing issues too?
Yes. The apps returned to Rose store and it was possible to log in. Furthermore the issue which motivated the resetting also disappeared. But this happened next day.
Rose Tube and Qobuz work fine right now in my RS 150 B. I am logged correctly too.
