After the update of my 150b, the IR-Remote doesn’t work anymore
Thank you for adding the “Rose Classic” to today’s update.
I believe a great deal more work needs to be done if this to be a worthwhile addition to the Rose platform for lovers of Classical Music like myself.
The most striking example is the indexing of composers. You have created a list which starts with the first name of the composer instead of the last. Classical composers are usually listed by their last name. For example, “ Mahler, Gustav” or “ Elgar, Edward”.
I attach a photo from the authoritative “ Penguin Guide” to illustrate my point.
The other example is how you have categorised conductors - there appears to be no logic to how these are listed.

So I’m going to give my two cents here. I’ve already written several times that I still don’t have any major problems. And that’s the same now after the new software update and the update of the iOS app. Everything works for me, including the remote control. So, as I said, thanks to the guys from Korea. My update of the iOS app and the update on the device. Everything went smoothly.

Now sorted.
The solution, for me at least, was to manually turn the 150B at the rear panel.
It then recognised the update and progressed through this.

One small issues I have following todays update concerns the option to “ Use my IPhone”.
To try this I first successfully registered my RS520 as requested. I then activated “ Use my iPhone” and it played fine as a stand alone unit.
So far, so good !
My issue is that I was unable to exit this mode and it was therefore impossible to switch on my RS520 from standby mode via the Rose Connect App. Only solution was to delete and reinstall the app. However, it means I will not be using “ Use my iPhone” until I have found a solution.
Perhaps it is something simple I am missing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello. Can you tell me please if you tried the new DB scanning system and if yes then when you delete files from storage in the next scan if also removes the tracks from DB?

On EA 5.6 and my 150B is not detecting 5.7
I am on EA 5.6 and my 150B is not detecting 5.7. It says I am on the latest version.
I rebooted a number of times as well as restarted the router for a new IP to no avail.
Any ideas?
Same issue here (Netherlands). I tried several times a restart of my 250A, but no update 5.7 shows up . . .
There is something different from the instructions above.
To update from EA 5,6 it says to go to settings.
At the end it says update.
You will probably see “Roll Back” instead as It did on my RS520.
Just push rollback and it will start the download.
With this “Rollback” all the existing data will be deleted, such as playlists and installed preferences.
NO, it does not.
My Tidal stuff is still there.
Tidal is an EXTERNAL source. The “rollback” performs a factory reset, wich means that all te INTERNAL data will be reset to the original. I’ve installed an internal SSD and the data of this disk will be deleted.

I tried it for you and immediately after the update I noticed that the title display only says added. With the old DB scan there was always a date when a new DB reset was carried out.
My RS520 also no longer restarts when a new DB reset is carried out.
Now I deleted the DB and restarted and then the context menu rescan DB or cancel appeared on the display.
I still don’t really understand the whole thing and am waiting for Rose’s answers.
I also noticed in the file information that NO mini album cover is displayed anymore. With the old version there was always a cover (it was identical in the album). If I opened a various album, some mini cover from the folder was always displayed but each title had its own album cover in the metadata (tags). I still don’t understand that to this day. If it says file information, the corresponding mini cover should also be displayed.
I haven’t deleted anything from my installed SSD yet and can’t tell you whether anything is deleted from the memory. I once deleted a title from the SSD and didn’t see any artifacts or traces of the deleted title in the new DB scan. That was the case with the old software version.
I don’t use an EA version!!!
I always turn my 520 off completely every evening or after a music session. It’s like a “hard reset” and then turn it back on the next day using the switch in a really good audio power strip. This may delete the memory.
Let’s wait and see what Rose HiFi says about this.

…A lot of bugs after this update
Very dear (too expensive) Hifi Rose team;
With the new version 5.7, when I listen to my My Mix Tidal, the first track of each My Mix is in aac format while on Tidal the track is in Flac format. But what have you done to us again?! It would be time to stop programming with your feet and stabilize what already exists before adding new features… This lack of professionalism is appalling, I thought that in Asia you had at heart and honor to do things well. Does anyone check the updates before publishing them? We are entitled to ask ourselves the question!!!

After download the latest update , I have lost the connection with my rose rs150b with rose hifi app. I try reboot n reset all not working except AirPlay. I also can’t login to rose acc too

again to your question and I’ve experimented a bit with DB.
If I’ve done everything right, it runs great in the background and if you go to the settings (on the device) media library you can see the progress. A buffering circle always appears briefly and the DB scan is working. It also shows it in the app in the media library settings. But I only see the progress when I switch from media library to display and back to the media library, for example. Maybe I just couldn’t wait. The scan has never bothered me because I don’t have such a large music database, but Rose has really done something with the speed. The Rose guys are already thinking about how they can implement many of our wishes.
