[Official] Ver 5.7 (Rose OS 5.7.05) SW Update Notice

  • Update Date: 2024/11/06 (Wed) 13:00 PM (GMT +9)

  • Applicable Models: RS201(A), RS250(A), RS150(B), RS520, RS130

  • Update Method:
    (For Official): Go to Settings → System Information → Click “Update” to start system update
    (For Early Access): Go to Settings → System Information → Use Official Version → Click “Update” to start system update

  • Update Version:
    RoseOS (SW): V5.7.05 (Official)
    RoseConnect Premium (Android): V5.7.05.1
    RoseConnect Premium (iOS): V5.07.05

  • Update Details:

[Rose Platform - General]

  1. New Media Scan Feature

    • Introduced a new media scan feature, enhancing the usability of the DB scanner.
    • Improved DB scanning speed for faster scans.
    • Removed the 300,000 song limit in the DB.
    • DB scans can now be performed concurrently across multiple paths instead of sequentially.

    Note:
    With the OTA update, existing DB lists will be reset, and an automatic scan will proceed with the new DB structure. Please be aware of this change.

  2. AirPlay2 Compatibility

    • AirPlay2 support has been added.

  3. Play Music in Subfolders

    • Added a feature to play music files in subfolders when a parent folder is selected.
    • Up to 3,000 tracks can be added to the unified playlist.
    • In full play mode, music files in subfolders are played sequentially up to 3,000 tracks.
    • In shuffle play mode, music files in subfolders are randomly selected for up to 3,000 tracks.

  4. Media Library - Automatic Rescan

    • Added a feature to auto-scan the DB at designated intervals.
    • Can be set to rescan every 8, 12, or 24 hours or set to “Off” (default).

  5. Device Management Feature

    • Added a function for registering and managing ROSE and connected devices.
    • To use the mobile play mode (Local Play), mobile devices must be registered in Device Management.
    • This feature is accessible in Settings > Device Management.

  6. Streamer Power Sync with Rose Amplifiers

    • Previously, Rose devices operated power settings individually. Now, users can sync power settings for Rose amplifiers and streamers.
    • Power sync settings are available in Audio Settings.

  7. Feature Fixes and Stabilization

    • Resolved issues with system restarts when entering the media library intermittently.
    • Fixed random restarts after prolonged idle.
    • Fixed system restart issues triggered by certain video playback.
    • Resolved various playback, stability, and UI issues as listed.

[RoseConnect Premium - General]

  1. Mobile Play (Local Play)

    • Added mobile play function for registered devices in Device Management.
    • Connect devices through RC Premium > Device Connection for direct playback from mobile.

  2. Rose Classic

    • A new menu tailored for classical music enthusiasts with a vast catalog of classical music.

    • Added New Media Scan, AirPlay2 Compatibility, CUE file playback, and power sync with Rose Amplifier (RA180, RA280).
    • Changed the display method of Tidal Hi-Res icons.

    • Added display of friend requests in the navigation page.
    • Various bug fixes, interface improvements, and stabilization details as listed.

  1. Fixes and Enhancements
    • Improved device search speed and accuracy.
    • Resolved playback, stability, and UI issues, optimizing the main screen, and adding more usability features as listed.

Hello, I just updated the new release. RS130 does not detect my Weiss 204 anymore. Please let me know how to reset to the previous version!

This was a bug in the original EA 5.6 release which was fixed in 5.6.02 two months ago!

Rose need to get a patched version out ASAP.

I just installed version 5.7, now I have the problem. I did not have the issue on the previous official version.

I need to go back to the previous official version

I don’t see any update in poland I still have 4.19 Official in my 250

My RS130 has 5.7 and I updated a couple of times, still no DAC was detected by RS130

Hello,

  1. Are you experiencing an issue where the connection from RS130 -SFP-> RSA720 -USB-> Weiss 204 is not being recognized?
  2. If so, does connecting the RS130 directly to the Weiss 204 via USB (USB 3.0 port or Audio Out port) result in the same issue?
  3. If this is not the setup you’re using, could you please let me know the connection method you are currently using?

I did update the android app to 5.7 but when I exit the app I get a German language message Instead of Dutch.
Language is normally in Dutch

I now see it’s a complete language mess in the 5.7 app
Now I have 3 different languages, English, Dutch and German
Most of the pop-up messages are in German now while they should be in Dutch

@ROSELOA @ROSEHAN since it happens again that a New release needs some Time to ‘stabilize’, creating some New problems in the mean Time, why don’t you make it possible to ROLL BACK to the previous release ???

Or wouldn’t it be a good strategy to ONLY update EA and keep the previous official, so that it would still bé possible to switch back and forth ?

Does version 5.7 have a higher priority for updating on devices than 5.6 EA Version?
Is 5.6 EA overwriten by 5.7?

I could update my RS130 to version 5.7 without problems and usb dac is still working.
So for me only the language issue is a problem so far

Have lost internet connection to the unit here and can’t find a way to update. Can you restore to where it was please?
