Is it possible to play .mkv files from an RS130?
thanks for any guidance,
jp
Yes. Very simple with the video app. Just place them on your ssd, go to video on your rose app and play.
Thanks. I did not have the “video” app checked/selected so I didn’t see where to run the.mkv file. After enabling the video app so it shows up on the display, everything works as expected.
Thanks again for confirming.
Does multi-channel passthrough work for your MKV files? I have not been able to get it to work for me. Files play but no multi-channel.
its an Stereo only device - with no passthrough as far as I understood from other posts.
correct. I only have a 2.1 setup but had some demo .mkv files from Trinnov that I was trying to play.
I was able to get the video and audio but since I don’t have a true multichannel setup, I don’t know if the dolby atmos audio would play correctly.
@ROSEHAN @ROSELOA Can you please comment on what the Output Settings —> HDMI —> HDMI Passthrough = ON is meant to do. I would like to be able to pass through multichannel files to my processor via HDMI. Specifically is it possible to play multichannel MKV files using Rose 130.
I have a lot of concert videos - and movies - and for these I don’t use the Rose - I bought a Nvidia Shield TV and use either Kodi or Plex. I don’t like Youtube Videos.
But I’m interested, if this will work.
