Playlist RS150B - Not playing Sequentially

@ROSELOA

Hello - I have a playlist from Artist A . I begin the playlist (which is pulled from SSD Storage on the RS150B (2 TB Samsung 870 QVO) ), and it plays the tracks on the first album sequentially for the first 5-6 tracks, then it skips to another album, before finishing the tracks on the first album.

  1. Album 1 plays - 5-6 tracks
  2. plays another album of 5 tracks
  3. Plays the remaining 2-3 tracks on the first album
  4. sometimes will randomly pull a track not related to the playlist

So far this is biggest challenge I have with the RS150B, but it is significant (at least to me) and could be a deal breaker. I also have an Aurender ACS-10 so I am used to user created playlists performing exactly as ordered.

Hello JamesByrnes,

I hope to check few things, please let me know in detail.

  1. You have each album in separated folder, right?

  2. Would you check if ‘Recommended list - Auto play’ is ON?
This function adds songs at the end of your queue by itself. If it’s ON, try OFF.

  3. When you play an album, which button do you touch to play the whole album?

    Empty the queue and add?

  4. Can I have the files and check?

@ROSELOA

  1. Yes

  2. I am having issues with a playlist I created on the Rose RS150B. It has multiple albums, and even though it is organized by album, it does not play sequentially.

  3. playing an individual album is not an issue. It is when I have a play list with multiple albums in it.

  4. I am not sure what you are asking for here, I apologize.

Hello,

When the issue happens…

  1. Can you send me the pictures of your 'multiple album’? Hope to see how it’s organized.
  2. Can you send me the pictures of your ‘queue’?
  3. If you can, can you take a video and let me see it when the issue happens?
The display of queue and playback in your RS150B will be good.

Thank you,

Hello,

Thank you about the photos, but can you let me see your queue as well?
Touch the yellow box in the first two photos that I uploaded here and take screenshot please.

I am not seeing those screens. This is a playlist I created on the Rose, with albums that I copied via SMB from my USB storage attached to my pc. It had not done this for a couple days, then tonight, I got a message that the Rose was not stable and I should restart. I did, and then the non sequential playing started again.

Hello,

Please keep in mind that ‘Playlist’ and ‘Queue’ is different.
You can save the list of songs in playlist so that you can add them to queue whenever you want.

Queue is a list of tracks that you’re listening now.
The photo you uploaded is ‘Playlist’.

You will see this button Cap 2022-05-02 16-28-09-492 at lower right of your iPad display.
Please touch the button and check if ‘Recommended list - Auto play’ is ON or OFF.
Also, photo of the tracks in the Queue will be helpful.

Best Regards,

I set up**‘Recommended list - Auto play’ is OFF** . and still playing things that are not in my playlist. Do u think that could be a hardware problem

Hello harry33,

It doesn’t seem like a hardware problem.
It may be resolved through a software update.

  1. If it’s okay with you, could you show me the list of songs in the queue?
  2. What song was playing, can I know which song came out as the next song?
  3. Does it happen frequently or every time when you play certain track?

Thank you for your report.

Hi Rosloa,
1.I dont know how to show u that
2.was few days ago-I dont remember the details. I’m sure the Rose150 started to play some videos, and I dont have videos on my SSD
3.Yes happens all the time. I’m not able to listen to the music I want.I can listen only the 1st song that I click on it and after is a mess.

I dont know why when I want to listen the song from my playlist and I click on the song that i want to start with, I get a message’’ the song was added’’ why added because I’m clicking on a song that is aleady on the playlest.

Another problem: I deleted a playlist named ‘‘pop’’ when I click on that list, the list ‘‘pop’’ is there and all the songs are listed, but when I want to play them-get message: ‘‘the list is empty’’ so why the list’‘POP’’ deosn’t disappear I deleted it 100 times and it’s still there.

Regards

Harry

Hello,

  1. Where you see the ‘Recommended list - Auto play’ is OFF’ is the QUEUE.
Playlist RS150B - Not playing Sequentially - #2 by ROSELOA

  2. When you touch a song in your playlist, the song is added to the ‘QUEUE’.
QUEUE is a list of songs that you’re playing now. If you touch a song in playlist multiple times, the song will be added to your QUEUE multiple times.

  3. About the another problem you mentioned, try to drag the screen down. The screen will be refreshed.
If the album is still there after it has been refreshed, please let me know.
