Pre-out volume setting still not correct!

Even after the latest software update I still have to overcome the well known problem by pressing the apply button in the settings.
Also, when I switch from headphones listening to pre-out the volume goes up to 99 meaning when I am using my headphones next time. I first have to readjust the volume!!!

Once again - ROSE is all about show with 0 substance :rage:

@Bruab
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Please check a few things.

  1. What is the model name of the Rose device you use?
  2. How do you connect your Rose device to other devices?
  3. Please provide a more detailed explanation.

Here are my answers:

  1. The unit is a HiFi Rose 250 and it is running the newest software installed at the beginning of the week.

  2. The output is connected to my amp via unbalanced analogue cables.
    The unit has a digital input from my Naim Core and a network cable going to my router. Also, your CD drive is connected via the original USB cable.

  3. The following is happening

A. The problem with the low volume via my speakers always happens when I switch on the unit from stand-by mode, but not every single time. It does so quite regularly.

B. The problem related to the headphones is strangely enough the other way round. Here and there the volume for the headphones goes to maximum once I connect the headphones after a listening session via the speakers. It also does happen after I switch the unit on from stand-by. Once again, not always, but quite regularly.

@Bruab

We have fixed that issue in this update.

  1. What is the system version information of your RS250?
    RS250–>Settings–>System info–>System version information

  2. Are you using the preout level setting function?
    Please let me know what the preout level settings are.

Here my replies:

  1. System Version Info: 4.15

  2. Pre-out set to 2200 mV - even that results in a lower volume level compared to my other sources.
