Does RS150 better sound work with a preamp to the power amp ?

Good question, I’m interested too!
I didn’t get my RS150 yet but when I have i will connect it to my Audio-GD HE-1 preamp in combination with the Master 3A Poweramp.
Then, after testing I’m planning to connect it directly to the Master 3A Poweramp and see if there are differences.
For now my preference is to connect it to the pre-amp because I do have more sources which I have to connect like sacd player and turntable.

I have a very high level tube preamp (Allnic 10000) connected to a McIntosh
MC 462 amp ( an excellent SS amp). I tried the Rose 150 B
as a direct connect to the amp and also through the preamp.
No comparison between the two. The preamp produced a much more mellow and detailed sound, as good as an LP but with better channel separation. If you have a tube preamp connected to a SS amp it will almost always outperform a SS
preamp. In this case the Rose preamp was way too harsh
when directly connected to the Mac amp.
