No music came out when a High (CD quality) music switches to a Max (HiRes quality) music when playing the Soft Piano playlist on Tidal. This happens when output to my DAC but it works fine when output to Balanced Output. @ROSEHAN Can you please advise? I’m using Rose 150B. Thanks.
What is model of the dac and which connection you use? It is possible that the DAC is not supporting higher sample rates, or you have set the clock to internal instad on slave. It could be a bad digital cable too.
My 150B is connected via USB to Denafrips GAIA DDC which is connected to Denafrips Terminator Plus via HDMI. The Max music plays after I paused and play.
It happens both when switching from High to Max and sometimes from Max to High too. @ROSEHAN Kindly advise. Thanks.
Hello kiansoon
It could be your clock settings. HDMI you mean I2S? Your DDC clock should be set to “internal”, and DAC clock to HDMI (I2S) input. Then it should work on all supported sampling rates. If that does not solve the problem try AES connection instead.
Beside this, I do not see a reason to have a DDC in this setup. It is much simpler to connect Rose directly to DAC via AES or any connection you find suitable.
