Qobuz Connect not working on RS250

Have the same problem on my RS250 streamer than many other users are reporting on different models.

My 250 is connected via ethernet to the wall. The Qobuz Connect app is on an iPad using wi fi.

The Rose 250 does not show up in the latest Qobuz Connect app. The app does not “see” it.

I also tried switching the 250 to wifi so that both the streamer and the app are on the same wifi network. No luck. Nothing.

It only works if I use Apple AirPlay, but this sounds terrible.

I am not sure why a Hi Fi Rose rep would state that there are no plans to enable this much sought after and much requested feature, and yet Hi Fi Rose shows up under Qobuz Connect’s certified brand list and, as a previous post confirms, some users are able to make this work.

If I use the built-in Qobuz tab on the Rose Premium Connect app, playback is a mess and it skips constantly. So all of the above is not only confusing, it is also supremely disappointing.

I may just sell my 250 unless things improve quickly.

Are you on the Early Access version?

Maybe you should sell your iPad instead? Apple users aren’t the most tech savvy usually.

I have no idea what you are whining about. I just use the Rose app and I can play anything I want from Qobuz. I never use the Qobuz app because I don’t use my phone to listen to music.

I updated the app, yet I have no idea how it would improve my listening experience. I can find anything I want. And it plays just fine. Unless it’s not on Qobuz.

Maybe you should take a closer look on who you blame.

why so offensive?
fact is, Qobuz promotes Qobuz connect with a lot of manufacturerers - for example Rose…

so that means, every customer can expect that Qobuz connect will work with Rose devices as described.

ok, the rose app works for now and since launch… but the ui and handling is not so intuitive as the Qobuz app on devices itself.

but maybe it only needs an update for the Qobuz app on our rose devices…

You are rudely responding to a very valid complain.

I happen to build PC’s for a living and perform QC for AV brands. I am tech savvy. Precisely because of this I expect things to work as they should. The Hi Fi Rose does not.
