ROSELOA,
Many Thanks for sharing this quick fix to the software issue that my HiFi Rose 150B encountered these last few weeks. The tip fixed it and I can now enjoy Qobuz once again. I’m very pleased indeed…
I’ll be patient but I will be looking forward to the update that solves this issue as soon as it is ready. Big Thanks once again and I wish you and HiFi Rose All the Best for 2024!
Cheers!
If by chance this may help others, here is the QUICK FIX…
ROSELOA -
"Please go to Rose Streamer and check Date and Time.
Go to streamer > Settings > Date and Time > turn off “auto set date and time” > Set date and time manually, based on real date and time.
We are working on this issue, expect it to be solved at the end of January - but the schedule may be changed depending on the side effects."
Hi, I just updated my RS250 with the Rose Ware 5.7.05.1 and now unable to get to Qobuz using Rose Connect. It works fine on my player, but from my computer it asks me to login, then logs me in for a second and then the same message appears. It was working just fine prior to the update. Any advice would be great. Thanks. Peter
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Even if you log in to your Qobuz account on the mobile RoseConnect app and connect your PC and RS250 to the RoseConnect app, the accounts are not linked?
Thank you so much for the quick reply.
The app is on my PC.
I can log in on my RS250.
But I can’t stay logged in on the app (it logs in for a second and then tells me I need to log in). If I play something in Qobuz on the RS250 I can see it at the bottom of my screen and control it (play, pause, see the queue list, etc.) , but it still won’t let me log in to browse or use Qobuz from the app itself.
The version for personal computers has been non-functional for a long time. This has been mentioned multiple times on this forum. This version is still in development and won’t be released before January 2025.
A small tip:
If you’re keen on using a desktop version, go to the store and download the iPad app. This app works perfectly on a MacBook or Mac Studio. It’s very stable, and all the features are available. I’ve been using it this way for almost 6 months, ever since it became clear that version 4.17 is effectively dead.
A million thanks, Viktor. I’d been running the Windows version on my emulator. This is working much better. Thanks again.
Thank you VIK, great idea, but I have neither iPad nor Apple phone, just a MacBookPro, I can not download an iPad version with my Mac, maybe there is a solution?
Thank you anyway!
Good evening @Herve,
What kind of Macbook Pro???
With Intel chip or silicon chip M1, M2, M3???
For Macs with silicon chips, the phone/tablet app is compatible and you can download it from the app store. (see picture)
I started using my RS520 on April 6, 2024 and immediately used the iOS app…at the time on a Macbook Air M1. I never got the alleged MacOS version that I downloaded from the Rose site to work.
I’m currently using a Macbook Pro with an M3pro chip and have downloaded today’s revised app (version 5.7.6 (6) ) from the app store.
Just open the Apple Store app, type in RoseConnect Premium, and you’ll see the iPad version. Download it to your MacBook and start using it—it works just like it does on the iPad. It’s that simple. I actually like this app even more.
Thank you for your help @Bonte and @VIK but my still alive Mac is old (2012), so it’s not going to do it I think !
Hi @Herve,
I tried working with BlueStacks back then…it’s an emulator or container (VirtualBox). Unfortunately, BlueStacks didn’t run on the new Silicon M1 chip back then.
If I had your Intel MacBook, I would experiment with it. I don’t know if it would work.
Download BlueStacks and then download the Rose app from the Android Store.
If you can’t or don’t want to do much with computers, your only option is to buy a cell phone/tablet…new/used.
Thank you very much @Bonte, it’s nice, I will try and I’ll let you know !
I also have an Android tablet that RoseConnect works on, but I really prefer to use my Mac!
I feel the same way. My Macbook is at my listening position and from there I control everything when I’m enjoying music. When I close my eyes for a while while listening to music, I like to use the remote control to turn the volume down a bit and I’m quickly asleep. I also have two tablets and a few phones, but the displays are all a bit too small for me… my eyes are slowly starting to get tired.
For example, it bothers me that SVS (Sub & Speakers) only has the app for my PB2000Pro for my cell phone/tablet. I would have liked to have had it on my Macbook too… several control devices for a few hi-fi components. You can save different profiles and of course make the sub settings from your listening position… all great, but again a cell phone as the control device.
Hello @Bonte,
yes, I’m like you …
With my old Mac Intel, I can’t install iPad applications…
I managed to install BlueStack but can not access my RoseRS250, I put the IP of Rose in BlueStack, nada!
The Pink app on the Play Store looks old !
Maybe as said @VIK the app for Mac will be updated hoping it works with an Intel Mac.
Nice day

Hello @Herve,
I have a lot of respect for trying it. As I said, I don’t have the opportunity to experiment (no Intel Mac…). Does the RoseApp in BlueStack not recognize your Rose device??? In theory, it should work because the app is in the container, so you are now emulating a different operating system. Internet access is available???
If your Intel Mac… is still important to you and you like to experiment, update to the M1 operating system.
for example
There are lots of videos, also in English or switch on subtitles in English
But I don’t know whether the new apps from the App Store work.
You don’t know what the programming of the current app looks like. It was worth a try and you tried it. I’m the same, I don’t want to give up when something isn’t working. But that’s how the elites keep making us dependent and literally “forcing” us to buy new hardware.
You will definitely find a solution! “Many roads lead to Rome”
Good luck
Bonte
“I’m the same, I don’t want to give up when something isn’t working. But that’s how the elites keep making us dependent and literally “forcing” us to buy new hardware” : as you dear @Bonte.
Thanks for the information for newer Macs, I’ll see later when my old Mac will die and when I have some money !
I also have Roon recently and I use it with the Rose, I am satisfied.
I wish you a pleasant day !
Thank you @Bonte and @ROSELOA but no change for me, connection to my account Qobuz impossible, there is more serious in life but it annoys me!
I believe you, big boy, I would go crazy too…I just want to listen to music properly and be able to operate the device.
