Question for RS 150 & RS 150 B

Greetings! I’m considering buying an RS 150 B instead of my RS 250 but the difference between the RS 150 model and the RS 150 B model is not entirely clear to me. I thought the difference of the “B” model was only in the DAC used internally in the machine and I understood that the “B” stood for “Black” and instead it seems to me that you also produce the SILVER always B … can you kindly clarify this for me officially? thank you

@Hunter

The difference between RS150 and RS150B is the built-in DAC.
RS150 has AKM4499 chip and RS150B has ES9038 PRO chip.

However, RS150 is currently unavailable for production.
There was a fire in the factory that manufactures AKM4499 chip, so the model made instead is RS150B.
B does not mean black, but you can think of it as the B model of the RS150.

Thank you

FWIW I have the AKM AK4495SEQ chips in my Michi X5. Running the Aurender ACS10 through the X5 Dac, versus the RS150B with the Sabre chips resulted in almost no discerible difference. In fact they were so slight that I cannot say one is better than the other, IMO and YMMV.
