"Radio" and "RoseRadio" Favorites

@ROSEHAN

I have Favorites in the “Radio” app.
They don’t appear with the “RoseRadio” Favorites.

How do I insert “Radios” Favorites with those from “Rose Radio”?

If this isn’t currently possible, could you request that this be made available in future firmware?

Also, could you request that we be able to choose the order of Favorites in the “Rose Radio” app, and that this be made available in future firmware?

I have made this request previously as well. Good programming practice requires that EVERY list produced be searchable by its characteristics i.e., A-Z, Z-A, name, last listened, etc.

Do you have the link to your post on your request?

TonyT,

I’m afraid the answer is “You can’t”. This is a much requested feature and to date the ability to sort Playlists hasn’t been provided. I would have thought that since the most elemental free music player has an ability to order and sort playlists that HiFi Rose would as well.

I’m talking about radios, not playlists…

domrol,

You are correct. HiFi Rose’s radios is not a user generated list. It would be a good idea to combine them into one. I didn’t think of that.

For me, the app Radio allows us to add radio stations using their URLs. Why separate the two types of radio stations?

I only want to listen to my Favorite radio stations through one access point, not two.

On my smartphone, with the Rose Connect app, RoseRadio’s Favorite radio stations are listed in alphabetical order. On my RS130 screen, however, they appear in reverse order of Favorites, with the most recent on the left of the horizontal list.

I would really like an update that would allow us to manage the preferential order of favorite radio stations and merge the two worlds of Radio/RoseRadio.

@domrol

Radio app and RoseRadio app are completely different apps.

Favorited radio channels in Radio app and RoseRadio app are not shared with each other.

Thank you, ROSEHAN.
Is it possible to ask you to add radio stations to the RoseRadio server?

@domrol

RoseRadio has a separate server that gets the radio channel streaming URL.
You can add radio channels to that server, but since the streaming URL keeps changing, you have to keep changing the URL you added to the server.

So if you have a radio channel you want to add, tell me the name of the radio channel.
Then I will send you the radio streaming URL.
Then you can add it with the streaming URL I sent you on your Rose device.

Thank you, ROSEHAN.

I don’t need you to find the radio URLs for me to add to the Radio app. I want all my favorite radio stations to be accessible via RoseRadio.
You’re telling me that Favorite radio stations can’t be merged from the two apps.
The solution would be to add the radio stations that aren’t on the RoseRadio server to resolve my problem.

Which radio server does RoseRadio use?

I could then contact their webmaster to have them include my radio stations.

@domrol

Radio server has a website where we call our own streaming URL.

If you have a radio channel you want to add and also have a streaming URL, please add the radio channel in RoseRadio using the method below.
Please try
Rose device–>RoseRadio app–>+ button–>Enter the radio channel name in CH name and the URL.

Okay, it works.

I can’t choose the order of my Favorite Radios…

My solution :
I delete all my Favorites and recreate them in inverse order of interest. Favorites are listed in reverse order of creation. The most recently created favorite appears first on the left of the RS130’s on-screen list.
