Rel T7i subwoofer connection to RA180

I have just purchased an RA180 integrated amplifier and wanted to fnd out best approach to connect REL T7i subwoofer to it with speakon connectors. I intend to use the amplifier in BTL mode.

You need to wire the positive/red normally, to the binding posts, and the negative/black, you join together and plug into the RA180 chassis ground. The chassis ground actually accepts a banana plug, though it doesn’t look like it does at first glance.

If you’re connecting a single sub… follow the directions on the Rel site.

I have the Rel T/5x sub so its Red,Yellow, Black wire colors on the Speakon connector.

Here according to Rel… The Red to the Red on one channel, the Yellow to the Red on the other channel and then the black to the ground. Since its bare wire you can just unscrew the binding posts and either pass the wire thru or clamp it down. Then use the banana plugs for your speakers.

Note: I guess you could strip the wire and then clamp on spades if you have the tools…
