We are planning to officially unveil the RW800 at the audio show in Vienna in early June.

After that, the units will need to be shipped to distributors in each country, and customers will then need to place orders through their local distributors.

Because of this process, we expect customer availability to begin around July.

Hello, what about the new remote shown on the High End Munich last year?

The design is currently being improved in a positive direction, so it will most likely be released within this year.

From the pictures I’ve seen, it looks like the RW800 doesn’t include an SFP port. At the moment I stream all my music to the RS130 over fibre, and I’m assuming that once the RW800 is added into the chain, the RS130 would no longer use its SFP input and would instead receive the stream via the RW800 — which only has a copper LAN connection.

If that’s the case, does adding the RW800 effectively make its Ethernet output the primary network path into the RS130, leaving the RS130’s built‑in SFP port completely unused?

@JonnyP

The RW800 has not been released yet, so I also do not have the exact detailed information at this time.
Once it is officially released around June, I will be able to provide a more detailed explanation.

Thank you for your understanding.

@Toonfan

The price of the RW800 has not been finalized yet.
This will be decided in the near future.

Hifi Rose just announced the price of the RW800 which can be used as a stand alone streamer or connected to a Hifi Rose streamer simply via USB C to provide you Tidal Connect, Spotify Lossless, Chrome Cast etc, for $179 USD. Thoughts? Availablilty is still unknown but if I recall this was to be made available in March of this year…

More details in the below video at timestamp 7:27.

The RW800 is currently scheduled for release on July 1.

However, please note that July 1 is the official product release date. Additional time will be required for units to be shipped to distributors in each country and then delivered to customers.

We estimate that it may take approximately one more month after the release date before customers are able to receive the product, depending on the distributor and local logistics.

Thank you for your patience and interest in the RW800.

Thank you for the update regarding the RW800 and its expected $179 price point. On its own, I agree that $179 is not an unreasonable price for the functionality being offered.

That said, I hope you can appreciate the perspective of many existing HiFi Rose customers, particularly RS130 owners. The RS130 is positioned as the flagship streamer in the Rose lineup and carries a premium price accordingly. From a customer standpoint, it is somewhat difficult to accept paying an additional fee for an accessory that effectively brings a flagship product closer to feature parity with capabilities that are already available on streamers costing a fraction of the RS130’s price.

Please don’t misunderstand my comment—I appreciate that engineering, manufacturing, and support all carry costs. However, I would encourage HiFi Rose to view the RW800 as an opportunity to reward the loyalty of existing customers who have invested heavily in the Rose ecosystem.

Perhaps HiFi Rose could consider a special program for current owners, whether that be a complimentary unit for flagship customers or a significantly subsidized price closer to the actual manufacturing and shipping cost. Even a limited-time loyalty offer in the neighborhood of $99 delivered would, in my opinion, generate tremendous goodwill among your most dedicated customers.

Many of us continue to support HiFi Rose because we believe in the products and want to see the company succeed. Gestures like this can go a long way toward strengthening that relationship.

First of all, thank you for your continued support of HiFi ROSE and for taking the time to share your thoughts.

We understand the perspective of customers who have invested in flagship products such as the RS130, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the RW800.

However, one point we would like to clarify is that HiFi ROSE has never officially stated or promised that the features provided by the RW800 would be added directly to the RS130.

Many users have requested features such as TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, and Chromecast. However, there were various technical limitations in implementing these services reliably within the existing hardware and software architecture of the RS130.

For this reason, rather than attempting to add these capabilities through software updates alone, we developed the RW800 as a dedicated module to provide a more stable and optimized solution.

The RW800 is not simply an accessory that adds features. It is a separate hardware and software platform specifically designed to support these services in the most reliable and optimized way possible.

Therefore, we are not currently considering complimentary units or special pricing programs exclusively for RS130 owners.

That said, we do appreciate your suggestion regarding loyalty programs and special promotions for existing customers, and we will share your feedback with the relevant team for future consideration.

We remain committed to improving our existing products through ongoing software updates and stability enhancements, and we greatly value the feedback we receive from our customers.

Thank you for your continued support of HiFi ROSE.
