Remote function TV-Video

Is there a button or combination of buttons on the remote that will turn on moving video when a picture displays the “arrow” to enable moving video instead of still pictures? I know this can be done from the Rose 250A but when it is in a cabinet behind me and I’m watching a video on a tv display in front of me, I have to get up every time I want to switch.

The remote is beautiful. Metal and finely crafted.

@StandardModel

When I read your post, it seems that you are watching video by connecting RS250a and TV to HDMI.

Your question is if it is possible to operate the TV on/off button on the top right with a remote control while playing a video?
Then the answer is yes.
If the remote control and RS250a are properly connected, press the arrow on the remote control to set the TV off on the screen where the video is playing on the RS5250a and press the OK button on the remote control to play the video on the RS250a on the TV.

Thank you

Rosehan,

Thank you very much for the information.

I’ve connected the remote via Bluetooth. It shows as connected (left side) in the Rose Bluetooth Menu. I then tried to turn on and off the TV(HDMI) using the Left arrow to turn the TV off and the OK button to turn it on. Neither works. Most of the buttons do not function. Some do. The right and left arrows function, the on- off functions but nothing else.
Are there problems with the remote and the RS 130?
Any suggestions?

What I’m most interested in is having the ability to activate the moving video vs the static picture on music videos. What (if it worked) would be the entry on the remote to activate the video?

@StandardModel

You can turn the TV on/off with the remote control.
When you press the left and right buttons on the remote control, does the TV on/off button appear white as shown in the picture below?
Press and hold ROSE RCU on the RS130’s Bluetooth screen to disconnect, then pair with the remote control again.
Please try again and let me know.

Rosehan,

I apologize. I wasn’t clear in what I was asking. I wasn’t asking how to turn off the TV from the remote. To be more specific, what I was asking is the following: When a music video is playing i.e., an MP4 there is an icon of a TV with a sliding button in the upper right hand corner of the RS130 display which has a picture of a TV. Underneath the TV is a slider button saying " off or on" depending on whether the user has moved the slider. This image is shown in your picture posted on your note to me above

This button is always set to “off”. I have a Sony projection TV. The RS 130 is above the projector behind where I sit to watch TV. Each time I want to turn the RS130 to TV projection, I have to get up and go to the RS130 to slide the TV button to “on”.

there is a second area where the option to play an mp4 appears. This is on some music where a static picture displays on the TV. In the lower left hand corner of the tv display is a red arrow indicating an MP4 is available. I have tried all buttons on the remote and can’t click the red arrow to start the mp4. I think there is or should be a way to turn the TV Display button on from the remote either when it appears on the RS120 or the TV. What is it?

Thank you.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

First of all, there is no function that can be used by keeping the TV on/off button always on. The TV on/off button is always set to off and must be changed to off when connected to a TV.

The three-dot button (Playback option) for sound or video cannot be selected using the remote control.
Please understand that there are limitations on each screen, which may cause some inconvenience when using the remote control. We tried to apply it as much as possible in the possible parts.

Rosehan,

Thank you for responding. I accept that there is no function to keep the TV always on.

I’m not referring to the three dot button in my prior post. I am referring to another selection. When a video is playing on the RS 130, in the upper right hand corner of the video playing screen there is an icon of a tv with a slide button below it to turn the TV on or off. This is what I feel should be able to be activated from the remote.
The screen icon of a TV is not the three-dot button (Playback option). All this TV icon does is turn the TV on or off by horizontally sliding the button.

If no other alternative is available, this could be one of the optional functions which could be assigned to the System Settings → remote Control Favorite Settings i.e., a fifth option after “Bugs” or better yet for English versions, in place of the fourth option Bugs “TV on”.

As I said above in the upper right hand corner of the video playing screen there is an icon of a tv with a slide button below it to turn the TV on or off can be controlled remotely.
It can be controlled with a remote control or with the RoseConnect app.

When you press the left and right buttons on the remote control, does the TV on/off button appear white as shown in the picture below?

When you press the ok button while it is displayed in white, it changes from off to on.

Rosehan,

Thank you for your latest email. I think we have now identified the problem. Per your directions,

  1. I unpaired and repaired the remote.
  2. I went to a play video screen and pressed the left then right buttons on the remote separately then at the same time. The result in all three cases: no response for the tv icon to turn white.
  3. Because the TV icon does not turn white I am unable to take any action to turn the TV on or off by pressing OK. Pressing the OK button does nothing.

I looked through RoseConnect and I’m unable to see what actions should be taken to activate theTV. Will you please tell me the actions to be taken.

As an aside, is there anywhere in the owners manual or on this site explaining this procedure? If so, I am unaware of it.

The remote does seem to be paired and able to control other functions.

Now what?

@StandardModel

I’ve tested it by connecting it to several other RS130s, and it works without any problems.

  1. If the remote control is connected to the RS130 and operating normally, we would appreciate it if you could shoot a video showing how you are operating the remote control and the RS130 screen and send it to us.
  2. The reason the TV on/off button turns white as shown in the photo above is because the remote control cursor is pointing to the corresponding function.
    This only applies when operating with the remote control.
  3. Can’t you see the button marked in red in the picture below? The RoseConnect app also has a TV on/off button for control.
  4. There is no information related to remote control operation in the current manual.

Rosehan,

I can now make it work.

My confusion was about what were the left and right buttons “when you press the left and right buttons”. In the RS 130 manual on page 20 I think what is “9 Move Focus Right” and “10 Move Focus Left” are in fact the left and right buttons you were referring to. There aren’t any buttons only up, down left and right arrows on a four way toggle.
In any event thank you for your patience in explaining it to me.
