Rescan does not update path to recently moved files

Hi,

I recently moved some audio files in my NAS directory tree.
Even after forced a rescan the 150b keep pointing to the old place. I had to reinitiate the DB in order to be able to play theses files.
That’s something I’m doing very often, and I don’t want to have to reinitiate the DB each time. Is there another way ?

Regards

Hello. Sorry to tell you but there is not a true rescan function to upate the library. The function works only for newly added. If you delete or change something no change at all. I was pointing that from the beginning of the new update and as always nobody responded. Classic behavior of the Rose employess when they are in difficult situation.

Changed some artwork on a number of ‘flac’ files in two existing directories, and a DB rescan did not update them for ROSE interaction. Had to reinitialise the DB and scan which was a little annoying as recent albums is everything in my 22,000+ track library.

@ROSEHAN can you please confirm what a “DB rescan” updates and what it does not. It is better to know what functionality it has as opposed to users guessing or assuming what it does.

Woorlord,

Just look up its functionality up in the manual. Oh wait, there isn’t a manual for the software functionality.

Well, the hardware is superb.

Since the file system is NTFS in theory it is possible to monitor any specific disk activity.
Permanent monitoring of specified disk activity needs more system ressources (CPU, Memory) for reasons which are probably not used most of the time. So this does not make sense and/or needs careful consideration.
Perhaps this could be solved with a user option on/off for those who need that.
This most likely slows down other functions or you build in a powerful processor and more memory.

Delete DB and rescan.
