Return ROSE 250

How long have I got to return my ROSE 250 as I am just not happy with the bug-written software? I’ve posted my issues here, but there is not any movement to address the issues.
It could be a really great product and my plan was initially to upgrade to a 150B. Thanks God I didn’t.

Some issues:

  1. Shuffle feature

  2. File management

  3. Folder structure the ROSE way is untidy when dealing with a big collection.

  4. File transfer :zzz::zzz::zzz::left_luggage:

  5. Problems with volume when switching in/outputs.

Just to name a few. These products are nowhere near ready for sale!!! But this is just my opinion and I had streamers for the last 13 years…. I

Having the same problems with my 250A, but nobody at Rose seems to care of users who listen to downloaded music files. At Rose apparently care only of online listener. Serious music lovers should avoid.

Firstly, we apologize for not delivering a satisfactory experience.

  1. Regarding Shuffle - Shuffle play is available at the level of albums, playlists, or folders. However, as you mentioned, shuffle play that encompasses the entire storage space is not easy to develop under current circumstances.

  2. Regarding File Management - We are preparing to update features like file deletion, moving, and renaming in the second half of this year.

  3. Regarding Folder Structure - Are you looking for the same folder structure as in the screenshot you posted before? You can see folder structure as you designed here.

  • Rose Connect APP > Music > Folder > SSD > Music folders
  • Rose streamer > Music > Folder > SSD > Music folders

  1. Regarding File Transfer Speed - I understand you’re referring to SMB file transfer. We are considering ways to improve it, but are facing some difficulties. Another method would be to save songs on a USB connected to your computer, and then connect that USB to the RS250 to transfer the files.

  2. Regarding Volume Issues When Changing Inputs/Outputs - Could you please let us know if you still have volume issues even after setting the volume for each source?

  • RS250 > Settings > Audio Settings > Volume settings for each volume

Thanks for your reply. Here some answers to your question:

  1. Even if you could manage to select 3000 songs for example would be ok, but songs from ALL LETTERS of the alphabet and not only from the first letters.

  2. This just proves that you never considered file management at the design level. Were you not aware that people have big number of music files?

  3. Yes, Music (Main Folder) > Artist or Band > Album > Tracks. Every Streamer I’ve had so far managed this structure!

  4. I do know how I can get around the transfer issue, but, given the extrem high costs of your machines, should that not have been sorted at the design stage? What do you think?

  5. Maybe I didn’t express it properly so let me try again - normally when I switch between Rose and Coax input there is a minimum difference in sound level. But the output at the amp needs to be increased by +20 to be at the correct level. Only when I switch back or after stand-by mode it is correct again. Also, the 250 seems not to like when you unplug headphones without stopping the music.

  6. Another issue is that each time I plug in the headphones it is set to maximum level even so the last time before the sound level was set to 46!!!
