Ripping CD’s using Blue Ray Player

I have started ripping CD’s directly to my Rose 151 using a USB drive. It occurred to me I probably have a better transport in my Blue Ray player sitting next to the 151. The Blue Ray player does not have a USB outlet. Is it possible to rip using the Blue Ray player and feeding the 151 via a digital input (optical or coaxial)?

When connecting a Blu-ray player to the RS151 via optical or coaxial cable, ripping is not possible and only sound is output.
